I only have a few minutes, so I gotta make this quick. We’re getting ready to head out out of town to visit Kev’s family for the holiday.
So fun!
First off, Kev and I went on a very fun overnight getaway to Park City last night. Kev and a bunch of our friends “kidnapped” all the wives yesterday and we had a wonderful evening together.
It was so fun and I was SO IMPRESSED the men pulled it off and planned it all by themselves! I’ll tell you more about it when I have more time, but here’s a quick pic of us out to dinner at the Stein Erickson Lodge Restaurant last night.
We had such a fun evening spending time together and with so many wonderful friends. 😉
Well, I hope you guys all have some fun plans for Thanksgiving! I really love Thanksgiving and can’t wait to spend it with Kev’s family. We are in charge of bringing a green salad and a Pistachio Jello salad. I found a WONDERFUL salad on Pinterest that I can’t wait to make. Here’s a pic….
Yum, yum, yum! Sadly, it didn’t have a website linked to it, so I don’t know who to give credit for this. The recipe was just written in the notes. It’s called the Autumn Chopped Salad and here’s the recipe:
- 6-8 cups Romaine Lettuce, chopped
- 2 medium pears; chopped
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 8 slices bacon; crisp cooked and crumbled
- 4-6 ounces Feta cheese; crumbled
- dressing of choice (Poppy Seed or Balsamic Vinaigrette)
Doesn’t that sound divine? It looks so pretty too!
Anyway, while I was perusing Pinterest, I found SO MANY dang cute Thanksgiving ideas I thought I would share with you guys. Most of the things I found were just pictures, with no website attached. If a website was mentioned, I will link to it; otherwise you’ll know there wasn’t one listed.
Check out these DARLING turkey vegetable trays. Love, love, love them!
I also love this dang cute apple dip turkey…
And this Cheese Ball turkey (from Handmade in the Heartland) is absolutely adorable!
I also found some BEAUTIFUL Thanksgiving decoration ideas. I’m definitely going to copy some of these ideas next year.
I love them all so much and they look so simple to make!
I also love this gorgeous Thanksgiving mantle…
Beautiful!
Oh, and my favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is the Sweet Potatoes (not the healthy kind either!) However, I found a wonderful recipe for “healthier” Sweet Potato Casserole on NoDietsAllowed.com.
Sounds awesome. I may just have to make it AFTER Thanksgiving and try it out.
Well, we’re literally running out the door so I gotta jam. I sincerely wish each of you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
