Two posts, two days in a row!??
Yes, I’m trying to be a better blogger. 😉
We had a fun time last night celebrating my now 4 year old’s birthday. We all went to see The Lego Movie and then went to dinner at Panda Express.
We already saw The Lego Movie for my birthday, but my little cutie definitely wanted to see it again! The bigger kids tried to talk him into seeing a different movie or going someplace else for his birthday, but he would have nothing of it. He just wanted to see the Lego Movie and that was that.
I kept looking over at him during the movie and he looked so darn cute! I wished I could’ve taken a picture. He had his little hands clasped in his lap and his eyes were glued on the screen the entire time. When the movie ended, he leaned over to Kev and said, “Whoa, I didn’t see that comin’!”
We laughed and laughed about that. What a cutie.
We all enjoyed dinner at Panda afterward, which was 100% his choice as well! He’s a big fan of Orange Chicken.
I was trying to keep it a little healthier, so Kev and I shared a 3 entree plate. I told Kev he could have 2 of the entrees and I just ordered the String Bean Chicken (yum!) We shared the brown rice as well. It was just perfect.
Oh and yes, I know I look like a scrounge. 😉 And did you know the String Bean Chicken only has 160 calories per serving!? Awesome. It still has a bunch of sodium in it though, dang it.
After dinner, we went home for presents and cake.
My son’s very much into Rescue Bots lately, so that’s pretty much what he got! He enjoyed his Rescue Bot cake as well!
Oh, and I made the executive decision last night to let myself have some cake! I’ve been eating so well, so I decided I needed a little somethin’, somethin’….so I indulged.
It was fabulous, however I realized that treats and indulgent food are SO overrated! I mean, I was SO EXCITED to enjoy some cake, but the whole experience was over in about 2 minutes flat. It sure was good while it lasted though. 🙂
Sadly, I felt pretty crappy last night. I enjoyed a little popcorn at the movie and then the cake afterward. The whole thing made me feel so blah-ish. Sigh…..so sad.
Speaking of feeling “blah-ish,” I have been a very sick lady lately and it has been so depressing. I told you guys about the nice flu/cold my kiddos shared with me last week, right? Well, I pounded the Vitamin C and started to feel pretty good. THEN, on Tuesday of this week I started to feel SO DANG sick again!
I’m not sure if it’s still the same flu/cold or a whole new one. I’ve just been feeling very achy, sneezy, sniffly, ornery and so dang TIRED!!
I was laying on the couch this morning feeling very bad for myself. I was also thinking of all the many, many things I should be/could be doing, but all I wanted to do was lay there and do nothing. Oh, and also wanted to finish off the rest of my son’s birthday cake. 🙂
I decided to take a selfie to try to convey how crappy and unmotivated I was feeling…
After I took this pic, I laughed and laughed and laughed because it looked like I was trying to be sexy and seductive!! LOL! I assure you I did not feel sexy or seductive AT ALL….I just felt 100% horrible.
I’ve heard that pregnant ladies have very lame immune systems, and I’ve definitely found that to be true.
I’m happy to be leaving the cold/flu season though and hope I can stay healthy throughout the rest of this pregnancy! Fingers crossed.
I’m sorry to be such a downer.
Moving on to happier things….I received a cute outfit from Fabletics recently that I LOVE!
I decided to pick some things that were a little more relaxed and would work for my pregnantness. I chose the True Tank in Daphne (Royal Blue) and the Zanzibar Crop in black.
I have to say I LOVE both of these pieces so much! The True Tank is so forgiving and easy to wear. I’m sure I’ll love it throughout this pregnancy and afterward too! I absolutely love the Zanzibar Crop pants as well. They are like a cute, stylish sweat pant. I will love wearing these to the gym and also in my everyday life! They will be the perfect “errand running” pants. I love them.
Oh, and FYI I ordered the tank in a medium and the pants in a large. I usually order medium or small in everything, but after reading some of the reviews online I decided to order a size up in the pants. I’m glad I did….they fit perfectly.
I have to say that I LOVE Fabletics so much! This is the second outfit I’ve received from them and so far, everything has been so well made and has fit perfectly. They have so many cute things on their site and their prices are very, very reasonable.

Well, folks that’s all I have to say today! I’m hoping to get a little R&R this weekend and kick this dang cold. I hope to hit it hard next week and feel strong and healthy again.
