I bought myself a big ‘ol bag of frozen strawberries from Costco the other day. They are amazingly huge, beautiful, big red strawberries! I am impressed.
So, I’ve been busy cookin’ up some yummy strawberry goodness! I’ve made my Strawberry Milkshake Protein Shake a couple times.
Man, is it good! Seriously, if you close your eyes while drinking it (so you won’t see the pretty greenish-brownish color), you’ll think you’re drinking a real Strawberry Milkshake! I’m serious!
The magic is in the tablespoon of Sugar-free vanilla pudding mix! It really thickens it up and gives it a yummy, yummy flavor!
I’ve also been making some yummy Strawberry Chia Seed Oatmeal. Love it! Here’s the recipe…
- 1/3 C. Old Fashioned Oatmeal
- Water (enough to cover the oatmeal + a little more)
- 4-5 big frozen strawberries
- 1/2 T. Chia Seeds
- 1/2 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
Put oatmeal, water and strawberries in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for 2 minutes. Add protein powder and Chia seeds.
Mix well. I cut up the strawberries a little with my spoon as I mix.
Yum! If you want it a little sweeter, you could add a little sweetener (agave, stevia, Splenda, etc.) I didn’t add any though and I thought it was plenty sweet!
