Well Happy September! I really love September and I love fall. I’ve noticed a few leaves starting to turn and we’ve had a few cooler weather days and I love it so much!
We live near our high school and the other night I could hear the football game going on! Ahhhh! I loved hearing the cheering and the sounds of the commentator. FYI, for now they are only allowing a limited number of people to actually attend the games, but I’m just so happy they are having games and that I can hear and enjoy the sounds. 🙂
Ya know, this pandemic has made me grateful for so many things that I never knew I was grateful for! And, for that I am grateful! Ha ha.
Seriously, though.
I’ve learned so many life lessons this year and it’s been such a blessing. Strangely enough.

Well this little tiny baby of mine started kindergarten this week!
He is my last little buddy and it absolutely tears at my mama heart to see him growing up so fast. 🙁
He just turned six two weeks ago, so I decided not to send him to kindergarten last year.
Side note: We really went back and forth with that decision! We asked the opinion of many people and weighed out the pros and cons and finally decided to wait and send him this year. I’m actually really glad we waited.
I’m especially glad I got to keep him one more year at home with me! Sooooo, even though it’s hard to send him off to kindergarten, I know I was so lucky to keep him another year so I really can’t complain.
Also, quite frankly, he really needs school! I know it’s good for him. He’s a social boy, he loves people and he needs to learn and stimulate his brain!
Soooooo, I’m starting to come to grips with my last little buddy leaving me, BUT I’m just not a fan of how quickly they grow up!
Oh, I also just gotta share that I got some face masks from Athleta and they are awesome! My little baby is wearing one of the masks in that picture above.
The masks come in a pack of 5 for $30.
They are comfortable, very good quality and I dare say they are pretty….as pretty as a mask can be. Ha ha.
Even though they are women’s masks, my little boys wear them all the time and they look great. I really love them. The camo one is my personal fave.

I’ve been working out at home a lot the past couple weeks. I’m grateful I can workout from home, but I’ve missed the gym!
So, I went to a few classes at the gym this week and it was so nice to be there!
I gotta say there’s just something I love about going to a great, hard class at the gym, being surrounded by people and being taught by wonderful, motivating instructors.
It’s wonderful for the body, mind and soul! Especially in this pandemic.
Ya know, I’ll tell you something random that’s funny and pathetic…I miss going to the library. Like, a lot. I love to take my little boys there and I love to bring home a bunch of books that I can read to them!
Well, right now my library is only open for 10 minute appointments. You have to request the books online and then they let you know when they’re ready for you to pick up. Then, you book your appointment and go get them!
Well, I requested like 30 books! Ha ha. I picked up most of them within a few days, but I had to wait for some of them. So, I’ve been going to the library to pick up random books several times a week the past couple weeks….and I actually look forward to it!
Wow.
I love the serenity of the library and I enjoy being there for those 10 minutes and feeling sort of normal. It reminds me of my “old life.”
Again, I’ve learned to be grateful for the most random things! It’s so interesting to see all the things I used to take for granted.

Well I thought I’d share this yummy pizza that Kev smoked for us the other night!
It was so so so so so good! We’re still perfecting the recipe, but for now I’ll just tell you, we used this crust recipe from Martha Stewart.
It was a good crust, but I didn’t love that it took three hours to rise. I’m going to experiment with some other ones and see if I can find one I really love.
I rolled the dough out into individual sized crusts and brushed one side with olive oil. Kev smoked them on one side (oiled side down) on the Traeger grill.
We put all the toppings on the cooked side (tomatoes, peppers, onions, pineapple, olives and fresh mozzarella) and then he put them back in the smoker to finish cooking.
They are so dang good folks. I really think I could eat them every week for the rest of my life and never get sick of them!
We plan to make them many more times! When we finally get the recipe just right, I will share it here!
