I have been slow movin’ lately….just like a slug….
Ugggh.
My kids have all been “slug-like” as well.
I think we’re all adjusting to being back on a schedule again. I love living a scheduled life, but I’ve discovered I can’t enjoy the “scheduled life” when I’m still trying to live the “party on” life too!
It just doesn’t work and I become a slug.
Dang it.
I’ve been feelin’ it at the gym too. My workouts have felt especially hard this week!!! I still love them, but I feel like a wuss.

Anyway, on a brighter note….
Last night, Kev and I were able to go on a date!
Woo Hoo!
We went with some friends/neighbors of ours and had a great time! We went to the California Pizza Kitchen…..YUM!
I love going out to eat! It’s a weakness of mine.
I love the environment, the “no clean-up” factor, the good conversation and of course the yummy food!! Oh, and when my kids aren’t with me (as much as I love them), I love that I don’t hear “Mooooommm!” eight million times for every reason under the sun!
It’s heavenly.
Anyway, when I’m trying to eat well (which should be all the time!), I try to check out the Nutritional Facts before we go out to eat. That way, I can decide what I want to order before we get to the restaurant! It really helps a lot because many times I see a yummy picture on the menu and I’m a goner.
With that being said, I probably should have just gotten a healthy salad w/ dressing on the side, but….I didn’t want to!
So, I ordered my favorite Pear Gorgonzola Pizza (with a yummy little salad thingy that comes on top). I did get it on a whole wheat thin crust, however. I know it’s not the healthiest thing on the menu, but I’m SURE it’s the yummiest thing on the menu!
Here’s a pic…
Oh, and yes I know it looks giant. I only ate a little over half of it.
Actually Kev and our friends all ordered different pizzas and we had tastes of each one.
I tried the chicken artichoke spinach pizza and it was so way yummy. The guys got a spicy habanero pizza (I had one bite and that was enough) and a chipolte one that they enjoyed.
Anyway, it was fun.
Oh, and some of the nutritional facts for my whole pizza were:
Calories: 1,420 (holy cow!), Fat: 68 g., Carbs: 157 g., Protein: 51 g., Sodium 2330 mg. (yikes!)
Ummmm ya, I probably should have gotten the salad. Good thing I didn’t eat the whole thing though!
I did eat really well today and I made a super easy, healthy dinner tonight. I will share the recipe tomorrow!
Hope you are all healthy and happy!
xoxo
