Well holy cow folks, I’m sorry I’ve neglected this blog for so long!
I love all of you, I love health and fitness, I love this little space on the internet where I can share my thoughts and life, but lately my life has just needed a little more of me in it. It’s required more of my time, so this little blog has had to take a back seat.
Dang it.
But, here I am! I hope you are all doing well and are happy and healthy.

Although I haven’t been updating this blog, I’ve still been doing a live weekly workout on my Happy Being Healthy Facebook page!
I do one every Thursday morning at 9:00 AM Mountain Time.
I would love any of you to join me there any time! I save all of my workouts up on my page, so there are quite a few of them to choose from that you can do any time that works for you.
IMO, strength training and HIIT (high intensity interval training) are where it’s at, so those are the types of workouts I do on my page.
I believe you get the most bang for your buck with HIIT. It’s super efficient, effective and fun! I also believe if you really want to transform your body, tone up, build muscle and lose weight, then LIFT THOSE WEIGHTS! Really!! Strength training is the fountain of youth.
Here are a couple snap shots from some of my recent workouts….
Join me! It’s fun!!
You can find all of my workouts on my Facebook page. I also intend to eventually upload them all to my YouTube page as well.

I also just wanna say somethin’ about exercise. If you want to truly live a healthy lifestyle and stick to a regular exercise regime, then find something you actually enjoy doing.
I really enjoy lifting weights. It just feels empowering and I know it blesses my body. It strengthens my bones, ligaments, muscles and mind! It makes me feel good and it makes me happy!
HIIT training incorporates strength training, but also includes cardio. It’s a lot of fun and I look forward to it!
Sooooooo, just find ways to move your body more and enjoy what you do.
You don’t have to exercise for hours and hours. You don’t have to kill yourself off. You just have to be consistent and move that body!

In fact, one of my new favorite things this year is going on walks. Who knew??? Seriously, I never went on walks before. I’m sorry to say that I used to think walks were a waste of time. I thought they just took too much time and were just too slow.
Well I’ve since learned that the “slowness” of walks is just what I love! It allows me to slow down a bit (go figure), breathe, really think, soak up the beauty all around me and just enjoy “being” and “living!” It’s wonderful.
I’ve gotten to the point where I crave a nice walk.
It clears my mind, opens my heart, improves my mood and is just awesome. I also gotta say that I don’t really go on my walks for the exercise benefits first and foremost. I actually go on them more for my mental and emotional health and just because they make me happy and make me feel good. But, I’m here to say those walks have helped me to lose some weight too.
Yee haw!
It’s awesome because weight loss and physical health is just a side benefit from doing something I love that makes me happy. These are the types of things that make living a healthy lifestyle so much easier!
Just find what you LOVE to do and then make it a part of your life!
Here’s a pic I took on one of my walks last week. It’s in one of my very favorite places to walk….
This picture doesn’t do it justice, but this beautiful little farm is behind the sweetest, most peaceful cemetery. I actually enjoy walking around the cemetery. There is such a peaceful spirit there and I can feel so much love. It’s incredible.
Behind the cemetery is this beautiful farm with most incredible views of the mountains. It’s gorgeous.
I also enjoy walking along this quiet canal trail near my home….
It’s so peaceful and makes me feel like I’m far away from home, but it’s just down the street.
I feel so grateful to live in such a beautiful world. Seriously, I love how being out in nature makes me feel so grateful for all of my many blessings!
Life is a gift.
Our health is a gift.

Well I think that’s all I will share today. I will end with this picture of my sweet baby who is graduating from kindergarten next week!
Oh my goodness! I’ve said this a million times and I’ll probably say it a million more, but I am not a fan of watching my kiddos grow up! It really aches my momma heart. I’m also not a fan of knowing my last little baby will be done with kindergarten.
There’s something about having a kindergartener that made me still feel like a young mom. Sorta. kinda. But, I guess I gotta accept the fact that I’m not such a young momma anymore! Sniff, sniff.
Life keeps marching on! I do try to appreciate all of the stages of life, but I am also a giant sentimental sap.
I also gotta share this bulletin board that I saw at my kid’s elementary school that I really liked. I thought it was a wonderful message!
I couldn’t fit it all in one picture, so I had to kind of splice it together.
We are each responsible for our own lives, our happiness, choices, success, failures, words and actions.
We have way more power over the circumstances in our lives than we know! You are a beautiful, powerful, creative being with so much good to offer. Go out and make your life what you want it to be!
I love you all! xoxo
