I’ve still been running around like crazy the past few days enjoying some time with my family. Yesterday, we went to Lagoon Amusement Park and we had a wonderful time. I love Lagoon SO MUCH! I’ve been going there since I was a kid and it’s been so much fun to see my kids get just as excited as I used to get to go there.
Heck, I still get super excited to go there too!
My brother, two sisters and their families came with us and we had an absolute ball. The big kids loved riding all the rides with their cousins and Kev and I ran around with my siblings and the littler kids. My brother and sister took a bazillion pictures, but they haven’t sent them to me yet. But, I took a few pics I thought I would share….
Here we are heading to Lagoon (I shared this pic on Facebook too.) I fixed myself a Chocolate Chia Seed Protein Shake and enjoyed it as we were heading up there.
My two littlest loved riding on the little cars. Just as I was about to take their picture, my brother showed up and photo bombed it. It was awesome. I love my bro.
Kev and I went on the swings and I snapped this pic just as Kev grabbed my foot. Yes, I was worried I would drop my phone in the nasty water below…..ewww.
I went on the humungous Ferris Wheel with Kev and my little kids. My sisters and their little ones rode on the Ferris Wheel right next to us. I snapped this pic of them…
Around 8:00, my cute sister told me she would take my little kids home so Kev and I could go on some of the bigger rides. We were so excited! We literally ran around the park so we could go on as many rides as possible before it closed at 10:00. Here we are having so much fun!
We went on all the major roller coasters. My favorites were Wicked and Colossus (Wicked is the yellow and green coaster and Colossus is the darker yellow and blue one in the background.)
That first giant hill thing on Wicked is SO DANG FREAKY, but so fun! It’s such a crazy roller coaster. We had a wonderful day.

I’ve had so much fun being with my siblings. I’m going to miss them so much when they all go home next week.
I told you guys that I haven’t been eating especially well while they’ve been here. It’s been tough. In fact, it’s become a little bit of a joke among some of my siblings. Whenever we’ve been eating unhealthy food, they ask, “Is that Happy Being Healthy approved??”
We all decided that for the two weeks every year when they come out, I’m going to rename my blog, “Happy Being Crappy.” We’ve laughed a lot about that and really have enjoyed being a little bit crappy (eating wise.)
For example, tomorrow we are throwing a fun little party for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. We’ve all been busy running around getting ready for the party. One of my assignments has been to make 200 treats (yes, 200!) to serve at the party. Man. I’ve been baking (and snacking a little) all day long. Here are some of the things I’ve been making…
Marshmallow brownies, homemade Oreos and chocolate chip cookies. Yikes! We will be serving some healthy things too, but we decided to make homemade treats because they are SO MUCH BETTER than anything you can buy in the store.
I’ve still been trying to eat well as much as I can in spite of all the craziness. This morning I decided to make some yummy Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal for breakfast.
I haven’t had oatmeal for breakfast in months! However, my little sister told me she loves this Chocolate PB Oatmeal SO MUCH and has it for breakfast every day. She even brought all of the ingredients with her to Utah so she could continue to make it every day while she’s been here. She also told me that sometimes she thinks about it as she’s going to bed at night and can’t wait to eat it in the morning!
So funny…and a tad bit crazy, lol!
After hearing about how much she loves it, I decided to make it this morning. It really is so so yummy and it fills me up for hours. LOVE IT!
Well, I better wrap this up. It’s Friday night and Kev just got home for work. We are planning on heading out to a movie this evening. Yay.
But, before I go, I want to share a few fun and good deals with y’all…
Handful Bra (the best sports bra in the world, seriously!) is having a sale. They are in the process of switching all of their inventory over to be Made in the USA, so they are selling all of the existing inventory at 20% off. Love it! Here are the details…
I’m planning on buying some of these because I have loved my Handful bra so much! I reviewed Handful Bra a few months ago, so you can click here to read my review and thoughts if you like. The sizes are selling out quickly, so if you want one you gotta act fast!
Ellie has just come out with their new July line called Summer Splendor and it is all so cute! Here’s my favorite outfit…
The Precious Gems Tank and Touch of Ruby Capri. Love them both! And, if you would like to get 20% off, just click the pic below…
We will also be running The Color Run in about 4 weeks! If any of you would like to run it with us in Salt Lake City, there’s still time to sign up! Remember to use the code COLOR5OFF at check out to get $5 off. The Color Run is also held in a bunch of cities all over the United States. You can use that same discount code to sign up in your own city as well!
I can’t wait!
Well that’s it! I hope each and every one of you has a fabulous weekend!!

Haha, so cute the “Healthy Meets Crappy”! Sometimes us health bloggers feel a little bad eating those not so good foods, but hey! We’re human too.
Melanie says
Amen! It really is tough to eat well ALL THE TIME, especially when life gets crazy!

I eat oatmeal for breakfast every morning. I love them! :))
