I am a Cow!

July 14, 20122 Comments

Well, I am a cow….literally….

I’m also a little bit dorky, I know. 😉

Today was “Cow Appreciation Day” at Chick Fil-A!  If you dressed up like a cow from head-to-toe, you got a free meal!  If you dressed up just a little, you got a free entree!

Sounded like fun to me, so we decided to get all “cowed” up.

I only had 3 kids at home (my 13 year old was at his cousin’s house and my 8 year old was at Cub Scout Day Camp), so it made it a little easier to pull it off.

First off, I gotta say Chick-Fil-A is a very cool restaurant.  They have the best customer service and the friendliest employees bar none.  They also have great food!  It’s still fast food, but as far as fast food goes I think it’s a lot better than most.

For starters….their chicken is REAL.  That is definitely a plus in my book.  AND, their fries are extremely tasty.  I don’t eat fries too often, but when I DO eat them….they must be awesome.  There are also a lot of healthier options on their menu.  Gotta love that!

I usually just order a salad and snag a few fries from the kids, but today for “Cow Appreciation Day” they offered a chicken sandwich or chicken nuggets.  I opted for the nuggets and I’m glad I did.  They are so dang good.

Not exactly healthy, but good…and REAL!

Chick Fil-A has this “Cow Appreciation Day” once a year at every restaurant in the country!  They give out thousands of free meals at each restaurant….and they make it fun for everyone!

I think that’s pretty cool as well.

The cutest cow EVER! He kept saying "moo" and it was just so adorable.

Chick Fil-A even had a guy dressed up like a cow that the kids just loved.  We had to get our pic taken with him…

My four year old was just not “diggin” the whole cow thing.  He wanted nothing to do with it.  He didn’t want to dress up and I think he was pretty embarrassed by all of us.

I thought it was a lot of fun.

I know we’re weird, but it was a very memorable experience!

Sooooo, Happy COW day to you all!
xoxo
