As you guys know, I really enjoy going to the gym. I love to run outside and I don’t mind the occasional at-home workout, but my exercise of choice is definitely found in the gym!
I especially LOVE group fitness classes. There’s just something about working out in a room full of people while being motivated and pushed by an amazing instructor that I love so much! I always get a killer workout and push myself WAY harder when I’m surrounded by people.
If you’re a lover of group fitness classes, you’ve probably heard of Les Mills. Les Mills is the creator of group fitness programs such as BODYPUMP™ (weights), BODYCOMBAT™ (martial arts), RPM™ (indoor cycling) and the new LES MILLS GRIT™ Series (30 minute high intensity interval training.)
Recently Les Mills teamed up with Reebok to create an entirely new workout concept that could revolutionize group fitness classes. It’s called The Project: Immersive Fitness and I am so excited about it!
Immersive Fitness transforms the typical studio into a 360° cinema experience, which allows participants to fully “immerse” themselves into their workouts. An instructor still leads the class and cues exercise moves, which are synchronized perfectly with music and graphics.
Check out some of these AMAZING pictures, which help demonstrate the concept…
Doesn’t that look like fun!!!??? I would love to go to any and ALL of those classes!
Les Mills Immersive Fitness will make it’s debut in London and will go on to tour many major European cities. It plans to launch in the United States in 2015.
The cities and dates of the US tour are undetermined right now, but you can check out and follow The Project: Immersive Fitness Instagram page to receive updates and more information.
Les Mills also released an amazing YouTube video to help promote and demonstrate The Project. Check it out….
I am absolutely floored by the technology of these classes. I cannot wait to try out Immersive Fitness!
