Hey everyone! I’m sorry my last post was a little serious and somber. My emotions were close to the surface and it’s just how I was feeling that day! Since that post, I’ve had a few phone calls and emails from people expressing concern and inquiring about how me and my family are doing. Thank you all for your kindness and concern. I know it’s annoying when people post things on social media about struggles and hard things, but then never elaborate. It leaves people to worry and speculate. I didn’t mean to do that! So sorry. I actually have quite a few friends Continue Reading…
Life Can Be Rough + A Fun Run and Chocolate Protein Egg Whites Recipe
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying your day and have fun plans for the weekend! My heart is actually a little heavy today. We have some loved ones who are going through some very hard things. Their struggles and heartaches have been weighing heavily on my mind. I’ve also been following a heartbreaking story in our local news this past week. Life can be brutal sometimes. It’s always so hard when people I know and love go through hard things and are suffering. I’m sure you can all relate. It’s even hard for me to watch the news sometimes because of all Continue Reading…
How to Calculate Your Macros + My Short Workout Goals + Bunions
I’m still going strong on the macro counting and I love it so much! It’s interesting, the first week that I kinda sorta starting counting macros, I thought it was SOOOOO hard! Now, I don’t think it’s hard at all. I guess it’s just like learning anything new; it’s hard at first….until you learn it, figure it out, get good at it, etc. Awww, life lessons. The main thing I’m lovin’ about macro counting is that it takes all the guess work out. I KNOW I’m sticking within my calorie allotment and the percentage of macros I’ve laid out. It’s Continue Reading…
I Love Counting Macros + Egg White Muffin Recipe
K, so I’ve been counting Macros “for reals” this week! Yay! I’ve really been loving it. I told you guys I started counting Macros last week, but for some reason I struggled. I realized I just wasn’t 100% committed from the get-go. Before I start any new goal, challenge, healthy shift, etc., I know I NEED to be 100% mentally on board first. I know I have to dig deep, get inside my head, find my motivation and COMMIT! Once I feel that fierce commitment inside of me, I’m golden. Too often, I’ll start some kind of “healthy shape-up plan” without being mentally Continue Reading…
I am FORTY + My Massage Envy Massage and Learning to Count Macros
Happy President’s Day! I hope you’re all enjoying your extended weekend! I’ve had a busy, busy week full of birthday festivities, Valentine’s Day fun and Macro counting adventures. It’s been wonderful, but this past week has felt like a MONTH! First off, I am now 40. I AM FORTY! What in the world!???!?!? That age seriously baffles my mind!??!??! How in thee world can I be that old!? I know age is relative; to the 20-something people out there, I am ancient, but to my 50 and 60+ year old friends, I’m a youngin’. But, any way you slice it, Continue Reading…
Let the Birthday Weekend Begin + Counting Macros
I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday! My healthy living has sure been suffering lately! I know that all parts of life, including health and fitness, has it’s ebbs and flows. I’ve learned that my sanity requires me to take a break sometimes. I’ve also learned to fully enjoy that break so I can regain my motivation and hit it hard when the break ends. I’m definitely much happier when I have goals, am disciplined and am working hard. But, slackin’ a bit makes me happy too….as long as it’s not for too long! My “birthday weekend” is officially under Continue Reading…
