Well guys, I’ve been a slacker blogger, but I’ve sure been having a lot of fun! First off, my little sister from Connecticut has been visiting the past couple weeks. I’ve loved spending time with her and my little boys have been in heaven playing with their cousins! I hung out with both of my sisters last night and I loved it! We also went up to my parent’s house for dinner on Sunday and snapped this pic of my sissy and my mommy… My other sister left before we took this picture. Boo. 🙁 We also sang Happy Birthday to me! Boo 🙁 Continue Reading…
Thoughts on Aging, Healthy Living + a Blueberry Yogurt Green Smoothie and a Veggie Vitamix Soup
Hey guys! We have some FUN family stuff going on this week (I’ll tell you guys ALL about it next week!), so I don’t have a ton of time. I’ll keep this post brief-ish. I have to say I’ve been feelin’ like an old lady lately; I’m about to have a very big birthday in a couple weeks. Eeeeeek. The other day I felt even older when my kindergartener asked me how old the baby was. I told him, “17 months.” He then asked me how many months old he was…he is 70 months old. He THEN asked me how Continue Reading…
Soul Searching and Simplifying Life
Well, I hope you are all enjoying your 2016 so far. I’ve decided it’s going to be a very good year! I’ve been doing some soul searching and reevaluating of my life lately and it’s been a very good thing. 😉 I’ve told you guys many, many times before that I am a VERY “busy body” kind of person. I love to set goals, push myself, accomplish a lot and just go go go go go! It is so energizing and satisfying to me. I’m also a busy mom of six kids with a lot that needs to get done Continue Reading…
A Very Short Run, A Fun Christmas and my 2016 Simple Plan
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!! I hope you all have fun plans tonight. We’ll be heading up to my parent’s house in a couple hours for a “mean party” with some of my siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. It’s a very nice, nostalgic, low-key party that I look forward to every year. My mom has been having this same party at her house every year for most of my life! It makes me sad to see my aunts and uncles getting old. 🙁 I wish everyone could just age until they got to a nice, easy retirement age and then Continue Reading…
Some of my Favorite Christmas Things and Some Favorite Healthy Things
My kids have been reminding me that it’s “Christmas Adam” all day today! They are so excited we are down to the final two days before Christmas! Yippee! I’ve actually really enjoyed the Holiday season this year. There are some years when we’re going a million miles an hour, the never ending to-do list never gets shorter and I feel stressed to the maxed….those years I don’t love Christmas as much AND it makes me sad. I truly love Christmas and every single thing about it! I’m always frustrated when the hustle and bustle and craziness of the season kills Continue Reading…
A Wonderful Weekend + some Fun Things!
I hope you all are doing well and enjoying this beautiful Holiday season! This morning, we woke up to this… A beautiful Winter Wonderland! I really love the snow during the month of December. It’s so magical! However, come January….I wish it would all go away. Ha. We got dumped on today! We got at least a foot of snow. The commute to and from school/work was absolutely crazy. When my kids got to school, many of their teachers weren’t even there yet. It took Kev an hour and 45 minutes to get to work and it usually takes him Continue Reading…
