Happy, happy Monday! I’ve been LOVING summer so far! I’ve enjoyed sleeping in and vegging a bit. It’s been nice. It’s also been SO NICE to not have to worry about the kid’s homework and things. LOVE that! We’ve also had the most beautiful, perfect summer weather lately. It’s been mostly in the 80’s, with a few days in the low 90’s. It’s supposed to be kind of cool the next couple days, so I decided to take the kiddos to the park today. They all had a ball! I was happy to see my big kids enjoying themselves too. Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by SUBWAY, but the opinions and text are entirely my own. Happy Thursday to you all!! First things first, I want you all to know that my son is doing SOOO well after his heart procedure. Thank you all so much for the sweet comments, love, support and prayers y’all sent our way. You guys are all the best!! I’m happy to say my son’s procedure actually went better than planned! They did an electrophysiology study on his heart by placing catheters into veins in his legs and neck and up into his heart. They Continue Reading…
My Son’s Cardiac Ablation
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had a fun and relaxing one, but I will have to tell y’all about it tomorrow. I’m actually at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City right now and will be here all day. 😉 My cute baby boy (10 year old) is having a Cardiac Ablation done to hopefully cure his heart arrhythmia (Wolfe-Parkinson-White Syndrome.) It’s a relatively low risk procedure, but they use catheters to go up inside his heart to “test” it and then use a laser to fix the problem. I’m trying to stay calm and not Continue Reading…
Happy Summer + Sunwarrior Protein Powder
Today is the last day of school for my kiddos. Yay…..I think, lol! It will be so nice to sleep in a little, chill out and not have to worry about homework or driving the kids a million places! However, I’m a little worried about keeping the kids entertained, keeping the house from going to pot and having the kids (+ a bunch of extras) running in and out of the house all day long. Oy. I love summer though and really want my kids to live it up and make some wonderful childhood memories! I went to my little Continue Reading…
My Accident Prone Son + Healthy and Crappy Eating
Well, I was in the middle of typing up this post last night when my 10 year old son came running in the house screaming, “I think I broke my arm!” This particular son of mine is very dramatic, so I wasn’t too worried initially. However, as soon as I saw his arm I thought, “Yep, it’s broken.” It was bent in a way that arms just aren’t supposed to bend. Eeee. Soooo, Kev and I ran him to the Instacare and they sent us to the ER. They let us know he broke his radius and ulna bones all Continue Reading…
Yummy Food and Cute Fabletics Clothes
This morning I pulled out the last Protein Pancake from the freezer and cooked up some scrambled eggs for breakfast. Yum! Sadly, I was all out of berries, so I just topped my pancake with some peanut butter, banana slices and a little sugar-free syrup. Everything tasted great. I’m happy to say I also went to Costco today and loaded up on a bunch of fresh produce, including berries. YAY! I’m especially happy they had a big ol’ container of blueberries for only $6.99. Bring on summer!!! I plan to stock my freezer up with a bunch of protein pancakes Continue Reading…
