I’ve talked about my sweet little dog Jimmer (AKA Jim, Jimmy, J-Dog) a lot on this blog. I love him so so so much! He truly is like my 6th child. 😉 Jimmer joined our family about 2 1/2 years ago when he was just 6 weeks old. The picture on the left was taken on the day we brought Jimmer home. Captain Phillips, Cooggies and Random Tidbits
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I went to my beloved Bootcamp class tonight and it was brutal (i.e. awesome.) 😉 I got a great workout and I’m thoroughly spent. Before I left for the gym, I put some brown rice in the rice cooker on a timer. When I got home, I took out some leftover Fall Apart Chicken from the freezer. I heated it up, opened up a can of green beans, a bottle of pears and voila….dinner was served. Quick, easy and yummy. That’s my kind of meal. 😉 I have to say Continue Reading…
Crazy Kids, a Fun Run and Cherryvale Farms Baking Mixes
I’m sorry to say that yesterday was a very long and very crappy day. Yep. The kids have been out of school the past couple days for Fall Break and it’s been nice. However, yesterday was full of drama and a bunch of meltdowns. I essentially felt like a mother/referee/psychologist/mediator/border-line nutzo all in one. It was lovely. By 4 o’clock, I wanted to pull out every last hair on my head….and have a meltdown of my own. 😉 Needless to say, I was very happy to go to one of my favorite classes at the gym last night. It was Continue Reading…
Lots of Yummy Healthy Food and a Day at the Park!
Well, so far I’ve been lovin’ my ULTRA healthy diet. It’s been tough, but I know it’s so good for me. 😉 Whenever I decide to kick my diet up a notch, one of the first things I notice is how often I want to snack!! Man. AND, the snacks I usually want to grab aren’t necessarily the healthy ones (unhealthy carbs and processed foods.) Those types of foods are just so easy to eat, are very satisfying and are too dang yummy! It’s not quite as tempting to snack when my choices are fruit, veggies, yogurt, nuts, etc. It Continue Reading…
Deep Thoughts and Taking it up a HUGE Notch!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! We had a great one, but before I tell y’all about it, I have some deep thoughts to share with you guys. I know…..brace yourselves. 🙂 Mmmkay…so as y’all know I’ve been doing my little 100 days without sugar (treats) for about 75 days now. I’ve also been sorta kinda following Body for Life as well (I’ve been following the workouts perfectly, but have been slackin’ on the diet.) Anyway, I’ve loved both of these challenges A LOT! Whenever I follow a healthy, regimented program for an extended period of time, I Continue Reading…
An Incline Run, New Carpet and Bestowed “Back to School” Box Review
Happy, happy Friday everyone!!! I started off my morning with a fun run on the treadmill. I actually really loved it!! I decided to change it up a bit and focus more on incline instead of speed. I started off “running” at 3 mph and a 3% incline. I stayed there for about two minutes to warm up and then kept increasing either the speed or the incline every minute until I reached 7 mph and 7% incline. That combo just about killed me! It was tough. I stayed there for 2 minutes and then recovered for a minute. I Continue Reading…
