Returning to “Normal”

Oh my word guys, I don’t even know where to begin! I’m so sorry my dang blog was “down” for about a week and a half.  It was such a nightmare. I gotta tell ya, moving a blog and switching web hosts is an extremely stressful ROYAL pain in the bee-hind. I had about 12 nervous breakdowns and 8 panic attacks.  I’ll spare you all the details, but let’s just say that I’m never planning on moving my blog anywhere ever again. How to Make Homemade Fruit Leather

I told you guys about all the strawberries we bought a little while ago. Well, after making 3 batches of jam, I decided to make some fruit leather too. I love fruit leather!  It is extremely simple to make and so tasty.  My kids all love it and love to “help” me make it too.  It also makes your house smell so good! I make mine in our food dehydrator, but you can easily make it in your oven as well.  I will tell you how to make it either way. Craziness + a New Resolve

I’ve been wanting to hop on here the past several days, but I haven’t had a chance.  We’ve been so CrAzY! But, I think “crazy” is the new “normal” now.  🙂 It’s tough to find time to do all the “mom stuff”, keep a sorta-kinda clean house, make healthy food, exercise, get adequate sleep AND blog about it all.  Man. Making Homemade Strawberry Jam

Last week, we were able to get some great strawberries from a friend for 75 cents/pound!  Yay!  We bought 16 pounds and decided to have a little bit of strawberry fun. I had a bunch of pectin in my pantry, so I decided to make some strawberry jam. FYI, the Ball Instant Fruit Pectin package uses a lot less sugar than the other two pectins.  The other two pectin packages require a TON of sugar and “they” say you can’t reduce the amount of sugar or it won’t set up right. 🙁 Note: Freezer jam uses less sugar because it’s Continue Reading…

Sleep Deprivation + Fun Easter Things

The kids were out of school part of last week and yesterday for Spring Break.  We had a lot of fun and it was nice to have them home, BUT I’m happy to get back to a regular schedule once again. Lovin’ My Workouts

Kev and I have been doing Jamie Eason’s Live Fit Trainer for about 3 weeks now (minus our little vacation hiatus, lol) and so far, I LOVE it! The workouts are really TOUGH, but I know that Tough=Results.  Here are a few things I love about the workouts….
