I was talking to my (hardcore) sister the other day and she seemed a little bit bugged that I ate a few treats over the weekend. 😉 I told her I was a little bit of a slacker, but I was hittin’ it hard this week. Make It Happen!
Just thought I’d do a quick post… I went to my favorite Power Pump class at the gym Saturday morning. It is such an awesome class! I work every muscle in my body to the MAX! It’s insane. Love it though….time well spent, that’s for sure! The lady that teaches the class is 5 foot, nothin’ and I’m sure she doesn’t weigh more than 100 pounds. Random Snacky Day!
Well, so far I’ve done pretty well in 2012. I’ve been able to exercise every day but Sunday and I’ve kept a pretty healthy diet for the most part. However, today was a very weird eating day. I started the day off great with a bowl of oatmeal w/ chopped apples, 1 T. ground flax and 1 T. Protein Powder. I also had 3 scrambled egg whites topped w/ low-carb ketchup on the side (sorry, no pic.) I love that meal! It’s yummy, healthy, and filling! Broiled Tilapia Parmesan!
K, I told you I was going to post the recipe we had for dinner last night. We had Tilapia and it was rather tasty! Here’s the deal….we are not “fish” people. It kind of gives me the heebies. Kev feels the same way. I just can’t quite get over the smell and the “fishiness.” I can handle tuna fish (w/ lots of pickles), but that’s about it. California Pizza Kitchen Date Night!
I have been slow movin’ lately….just like a slug…. Ugggh. My kids have all been “slug-like” as well. I think we’re all adjusting to being back on a schedule again. I love living a scheduled life, but I’ve discovered I can’t enjoy the “scheduled life” when I’m still trying to live the “party on” life too! It just doesn’t work and I become a slug. Dang it. Happy New Year!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s holiday! We celebrated the New Year up at my parent’s house. They’ve had a New Year’s Eve party at their house every year for as long as I can remember! A bunch of my aunts, uncles and cousins come out and we all talk, laugh and eat food! It’s always a lot of fun. It’s so funny though because the party usually ends around 10:00 or 10:30 because everyone wants to go home early and avoid a lot of the traffic.
