First off, I have to share a very cute picture…
Oh my WORD, I could eat them both up! I love my sweet, squishy baby and my adorable, fluffy puppy dog!
Sadly, my poor baby is still a little sick! I told y’all about the nasty flu bug that hit our family last week. Well that flu bug was a BEAR! Every single one of us got sick. It was terrible. AND, my little 2 year old got it the worst. I felt so so bad for him. He was very sick on Thursday and Friday and he’s still not 100% yet. Poor little thing. 🙁
ANYWAY, that flu bug also derailed my life! Auughh! I was so severely sleep deprived, run down and just blah. SOOOO, I self-medicated with some Halloween candy!
Not good!
I also missed 3 of my workouts last week!
Ya.
It kind of really ticked me off.
BUT, I’m happy to say I’m now 100% recovered, very well rested (thank you Daylight Savings!) and have no more excuses left.
I’m still stickin’ to the “healthy cleanse” I’ve been doing. We added in dairy and beans on Monday. However, I haven’t had any beans yet and I haven’t really had much dairy other than a little bit of cheese. I still haven’t had any official grains (other than whatever is found in candy, lol!)
I’m going to try to keep it extra low-cal the next couple of days in hopes of negating some of the candy problems I’ve had. 😉
This has been my breakfast the past couple of days,
1 whole egg+4 egg whites, scrambled and topped with low-sugar ketchup served with 1/2 an apple. Yum. This breakfast is only about 200 calories, yet has about 20 grams of protein! Score!
I’ve also been having a protein shake every day. Right now I’m enjoying a VERY YUMMY mint chocolate protein shake.
This picture looks kind of gross, but I LOVE this shake! It is perfect for treat cravings!! Here’s what I put in it; 1 C. Unsweetened Almond milk, 1 scoop chocolate protein, 1 T. cocoa, 1/2 T. sugar-free chocolate pudding mix, 1 T. ground flaxseed, a couple drops of peppermint extract, a bunch of spinach and ice! LOVE IT! This shake has about 275 calories, 7 g of fiber and 32 g of protein. YAY!

I taught a little “Healthy Habits” class last week at an activity for our church. Here is a pic of me just before I taught the class,
It was a lot of fun and a good experience for me! I really love health and fitness and love to share anything and everything about it with anyone who wants to listen! 😉
Well, I have to go. I’m leaving to go to dinner and shopping with my mom, sister and niece. It should be fun. We’re going to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner and it is such a yummy place. They have a lot of healthy options too. They also have the best bread EVER, but I won’t be having any. 🙁
Oh, and happy ELECTION DAY to you all! I hope you have all voted! I love the USA!
