I love oats in a jar! You basically just take your favorite oatmeal recipe, cook it and pour it (still warm) in a mostly empty peanut butter jar. Then, the remainder of the peanut butter melts and mixes into your oatmeal. It is heavenly! I’m always happy when I finish up a jar of peanut butter!
My favorite oatmeal recipes to make into OIAJ are:
Chocolate Oatmeal
- 1/3 cup Oatmeal
- Water (enough to cover the oatmeal + a little more)
- 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 2 teaspoons stevia (or sweetener of your choice)
- 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 Tablespoon ground flax seed
Mix oatmeal and water in microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes. Mix protein powder. stevia, cocoa and flax seed in. Pour into empty peanut butter jar. Mix and enjoy!
Vanilla Oatmeal
- 1/3 cup Oatmeal
- Water (enough to cover the oatmeal + a little more)
- 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 teaspoons stevia (or sweetener of your choice)
- 1 Tablespoon ground flax seed

**Pretty much the same recipe, just a chocolate or vanilla version. I also love to top them with sliced banana or nuts. It’s so good!
