(I also make this same recipe with lean ground beef and it’s awesome!)
- 1/2 C. Cheddar cheese; shredded
- 1 T. Parmesan cheese; grated
- 1/2 large onion; chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 T. ketchup
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash pepper
- 1 pound lean ground turkey (or beef!)
Mix the Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper together in a large bowl.
Add the ground turkey and mix everything well using your hands!
Form mixture into 6-7 patties and place on grill. I love these on the outside BBQ grill, but we did them on the indoor “wannabe” grill tonight.
Cook for 5-7 minutes each side until cooked through.
This picture is not the yummiest. I had some issues with the burgers sticking to the “grill.” These are so good though!

My kids have these just like regular hamburgers; on buns with mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles and lettuce. They all love them! I chose to have mine without a bun topped with low sugar ketchup, mustard and pickles.
We had Sweet Potato Fries on the side and I threw together a quick Greek salad (Spring Mix lettuce, olives, grape tomatoes, red peppers, cucumber and feta!) I topped it with a little Newman’s Own Balsamic Vinigarette. Yum!
I also chopped up some fresh fruit (Strawberries, Raspberries, Kiwi and bananas!)
Enjoy!
