Happy Thursday to you all!!
First things first, I want you all to know that my son is doing SOOO well after his heart procedure. Thank you all so much for the sweet comments, love, support and prayers y’all sent our way. You guys are all the best!!
I’m happy to say my son’s procedure actually went better than planned! They did an electrophysiology study on his heart by placing catheters into veins in his legs and neck and up into his heart. They then used medicine and electrical stimulation to test the effect on his heart.
Yes, it sounded very freaky to me.
After thoroughly testing his heart, they found that his “extra beat” (arrhythmia) was rather benign and shouldn’t ever cause him trouble. They said it didn’t respond at all to the testing (which is great!) and actually went away during part of it.
FYI, the doctors discovered his arrhythmia by chance when he was 2 months old. We’ve visited cardiologists regularly over the years to keep an eye on it. He’s never experienced symptoms (racing heart, lightheadedness, dizziness, etc.), but the doctors said most people start to have symptoms after puberty.
However, after the electrophysiology study, the doctors are quite confident it won’t ever be an issue for him. We’ll continue to have it checked throughout the years though.
I’m so happy to have that procedure behind us and I’m happy with the outcome. YAY!

Even though it’s already Thursday, I want to tell you guys about a fun “Family Day” we had last weekend.
Subway recently invited our family to be a part of their “Operation #PileOnTheVeggies” campaign to encourage kids (and adults!) to eat healthier. They also teamed up with Disney’s Maleficent to further promote the campaign.
As an avid fan of Subway, Disney and good health, I was more than happy to participate!
Subway sent me some giftcards…
My kids also watched a video starring Jared Fogle that encouraged them to #PileOnTheVeggies!
We went to see the movie, Maleficent, first.
It was WONDERFUL and all of us loved it so much! For those of you who don’t know, it’s the story of the villain, Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty and tells the untold story of her life.
I thought the movie was SO WELL DONE and absolutely loved Angelina Jolie (as Maleficent) and Elle Fanning (as Aurora.) The special effects were amazing and I loved the storyline. I must say that the movie was quite scary for my littlest ones at times, but not TOO scary. They still really loved the movie!
After the movie, we headed over to Subway for lunch. All of my kids love Subway, but this time I (along with “Jared!”) encouraged them to add more veggies than they usually do.
Some of my kids were more “daring” than others. I’m happy to say that my oldest (and pickiest!) son probably piled on the most veggies…
My 4 year old also loved piling on the veggies! He chose lettuce, pickles, tomato and spinach. When he took a bite, he said, “I love the salad on my sandwich!”
Too cute.
I ordered the “Fresh Fit for kids” meals for my two youngest kiddos. It included a Fit Mini Sub (they chose ham on wheat bread), apple slices and a drink (one chose apple juice and the other chose Chocolate Milk.)
The meal also came inside a fun Maleficent drawstring backpack that they loved!
The kids also thought it was cool to see all of the Maleficent things at Subway after they had just seen the movie…
Kev and I shared a footlong Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. I piled mine with every veggie available except for jalapenos. I skipped the cheese and topped it with a little mustard and Balsamic vinegar. YUMMY!
We all enjoyed our lunch at Subway.
We had such a fun “family day” and I’m happy to say that Subway wants to share the love with one of you as well!
Subway is giving away a $25 Subway gift card plus a $50 Fandango gift card to one of my readers.
Yay!

The giveaway will end Tuesday, June 17th at noon. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Thursday! The weekend is only a day away. Eeeeee.
