Super Easy Crock Pot Meatballs and Sauce!

March 19, 20122 Comments

I’m so sorry for the blogging hiatus….especially after leaving you with such a depressing post. 🙁

I’m happy to say I’m slowly, but surely coming out of my little “funk.”

Eating well and exercising makes me happy, but when life becomes chaotic and I “run out of gas”, I have a hard time staying motivated.

So, I’ve been trying to get my sleep and spend a little time just “chillin’.”  It’s been great and I plan to keep it up! 🙂

**************************

Anyway, I told y’all I would share I super duper easy recipe!  I was talking to my friend the other day and she told me she was making Meatballs with sauce in the Crock Pot for dinner.  I thought, “Why have I never thought of that!???”

This is not a gourmet recipe by any stretch of the imagination.  It’s actually not even a “recipe.”  It’s also not perfectly healthy, but it’s not too bad either.  IT IS so easy, yummy and kid friendly though!  Perfect for crazy nights!

Here ya go….

Crock Pot Meatballs and Sauce

Turkey-Meatballs-and-Sauce

  • 1 pkg. precooked meatballs (I used turkey meatballs to make them a little healthier)
  • 1 bottle pasta sauce (I used Classico brand)
  • Pasta of your choice, brown rice or quinoa

Yes, that is it.

Here’s how to “make” it.

Throw the meatballs and sauce into the crock pot.

Cook on “low” for about 4-5 hours (you can leave it in longer if you want though.)

Make whatever pasta you like.  I made tortellini for the kids and quinoa for Kev and I.

Tortellini…

So so so easy, it’s not even funny.  Love it.

Here’s my plate.

I had mine on top of quinoa, but I had to steal a few tortellinis. Yum. I also made an easy side salad and topped everything with Parmesan Cheese!

I hope you all enjoy!

I do have a lot more things to post on here!  I’m running to the gym right now (yay, Bootcamp!), so I will try to post again soon!!
