I went to Costco the other night with Kev and bought a huge ol’ box of RAISINS!
As soon as I saw these, I knew I had to have them! They looked so good to me. Weird!? Yes folks, I must be pregnant.
I sorta kinda like raisins, but I usually don’t buy them in mass quantities. Hee hee. The strangest things have sounded so good to me lately. AND, some of my favorite things sound disgusting.
Crazy.
Anyway, I decided to make a big bowl of Cinnamon Raisin Protein Oatmeal for breakfast this morning and it was awesome!
I really love oatmeal because it’s yummy, nutritious and fills me up for hours! Those squishy little raisins tasted phenomenal in there as well.

Well, I really enjoyed my birthday weekend! We did a lot of fun things, but sadly I felt pretty darn crappy. 🙁
You know how I said I was starting to “feel better” last week? Well….ya….it didn’t last long. I was super nauseous and so MEGA tired all weekend long! So sad. 🙁
However, I’m 13 1/2 weeks along now and I usually start to feel better around week 14 or 15. Believe me when I say I am COUNTING down the days! I’ve already decided I’m going to throw a small party when I officially feel better. AND, it will definitely include some of my favorite foods that have sounded so dang gross to me the past couple months.
Anyway, I had fun celebrating my birthday all weekend long. My birthday was on Sunday, but we did most of the Par-Taying on Friday and Saturday. I had fun on Sunday too, but we like to keep the Sabbath day a day of worship, rest and time spent with family. 😉
Anyway, on Friday night we took the kids out to see the new Lego movie.
It was SUCH a cute show! I loved it. It was definitely a movie that both kids and adults can enjoy.
I also loved the main song, “Everything is Awesome,” but I couldn’t get it out of my head all weekend long. I literally woke up in the morning with the song stuck in my head three days in a row!
Since I’m so nice, I decided to share the song with all of you! Now you can sing it for days as well….
You’re welcome. 🙂
After the movie, we took the kids out to dinner at The Brick Oven. We had fun and the kids loved it, but sadly, it didn’t taste good to me at all. 🙁
Sigh.
I ordered the little pizza/pasta/salad buffet thingy and it was great. The food was wonderful and great quality, but my poor stomach was so DANG sick.
Yes, I felt bad for me.
We still had a great night and I loved spending time with my sweet family. 🙂

On Saturday Kev told me we could do “whatever I wanted to do!” Woo hoo…sounds like fun right!?
Sadly, I was such a mega tired party pooper that I decided we needed to take a “birthday nap.” Soooo, I climbed into bed with some of my favorite people + dog and we all took a wonderful nap!
It was actually quite heavenly.
I had a lot of fun ideas planned for the rest of the day, but I felt just like a giant slug. We ended up dinking around at home and finally around 8:30 that night I told Kev we should just go out to dinner and on a quiet drive.
Geesh, a nap, late dinner and a quiet drive!??? I sound like an old lady! I just turned 38, but you’d think I was 108!
We decided to get some dinner at Zupas. Their food always tastes good to me. I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich and a small Vermont Blueberry Maple salad and everything tasted great.
I think Kev got the Cauliflower soup and a Turkey Bacon Avocado Panini.
We also stopped at Baskin Robbins on the way home and picked up my ALL-TIME favorite birthday cake….a Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream cake. YUM!
I hadn’t had their ice cream in YEARS because one small bite will make you gain 10 pounds instantly, but I decided to splurge a bit.
Sadly, we didn’t end up eating my cake until Monday because I just felt too gross on my birthday. 🙁 It tasted great to me on Monday though and I LOVED it!
On Sunday (my actual birthday), Kev made us all pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon and it was so good!
Kev also got me a few little presents and some balloons. What a sweat pea.
He got me a gift certificate to a spa (my feet seriously need a pedicure!) and some of my favorite treats.
I must say I’m usually a BIG water drinker, but water has sounded SO GROSS to me with this pregnancy! I still make myself drink it, but I’ve also enjoyed the occasional Caffeine Free Diet Coke to settle my tummy. It’s been a life saver.
Later on, we went up to my parent’s house and spent the night hanging out with them and my sister and her family. I love these guys!
Well, that’s my birthday in a nutshell. Even though I felt terrible, I still had a wonderful weekend spending time with my favorite people in the world!
Oh, and just so ya know I am planning to kick it up big time (health-wise) as soon as I feel better. I’m going to come up with an official plan and try to stay as healthy and active as possible until this little baby is born. I can’t wait!
Well, that’s all folks. Have a great night!
