Last week I had the opportunity to attend a fun Cafe Zupas VIP dinner event for local bloggers. Cafe Zupas is an award winning restaurant that offers yummy sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. I seriously love every single thing on their menu.
They have a bunch of locations in Utah and have recently opened up stores in Nevada and Arizona. I was invited to come to the brand new location in West Valley to check out the new store.
They even had a nice red carpet to welcome us as we arrived. So fun.
The new store is beautiful! The atmosphere is bright, cheerful and inviting. I loved it.
I had a hard time deciding what to order, but I finally settled on the Mangoberry salad (strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, cinnamon almonds, mixed greens and the best Mango Yogurt Dressing.) I also had some chicken added to it as well.
This salad was so so good! I loved it so much! Each salad and soup also comes with a piece of their fresh bread and all soups, salads and sandwiches come with a chocolate-dipped strawberry. Love. I forgot to take a picture of the beautiful strawberry though….dang it.
Kev decided to order the Chicken Chop Salad (Chicken, Bacon, Eggs, Tomatoes, Croutons, Black Olives, Iceberg Lettuce and Buttermilk Ranch Dressing) and a bowl of Wisconsin Cauliflower Soup (topped with cheese and bacon.)
Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of Kev….but I did get one of his food!
Cafe Zupas also has a wonderful selection of desserts! Kev and I chose a Rocky Road Brownie and a Million Dollar Bar.
Unfortunately, Kev and I were doing our little “no sugar or grains” thing at the time, so we ended up taking the desserts home for the kids. I really, really….really wanted to eat them, dang it. The kids loved both of them so much, but I think the Million Dollar Bar was the favorite.
While we were at the VIP event, they had a bunch of contests and prize giveaways going on. It was a lot of fun. I was the lucky winner of a Cafe Zupas Bloggers Annual Cookbook and a $25 gift card. Yay! There are a bunch of yummy, healthy recipes in that cookbook I can’t wait to try!
We had a wonderful evening at Cafe Zupas and look forward to going again!
