K, so I took some of the kiddos over to the park today to fly a kite and play on the playground. We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! It’s actually really hard to take a picture of a kite being flown + the person flying it, so I did it in two parts… There ya go. My oldest son has always loved kites. Today was the perfect kite flying weather too! I really love spring weather in Utah. It’s usually the perfect temps (~65-80 degrees) and we get cool rain storms, hail storms, rainbows and Continue Reading…
I Love Real Food, but I Really Love Easter Candy too!
I’m very happy to say that I went to a wonderful class at the gym with my friend tonight! It seriously kicked my can and I loved every second. I also don’t think I’ll be able to walk tomorrow. Awesome. I’ve been very hit and miss with my workouts the past week or two. It’s been very sad. Between sickness, vacations and random kid obligations, it’s been SO TOUGH to fit exercise in! I’ve missed it so much and have definitely felt the void. But, it felt so good to be at the gym tonight! Woo hoo. ******************** We went Continue Reading…
Deep Thoughts and Taking it up a HUGE Notch!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! We had a great one, but before I tell y’all about it, I have some deep thoughts to share with you guys. I know…..brace yourselves. 🙂 Mmmkay…so as y’all know I’ve been doing my little 100 days without sugar (treats) for about 75 days now. I’ve also been sorta kinda following Body for Life as well (I’ve been following the workouts perfectly, but have been slackin’ on the diet.) Anyway, I’ve loved both of these challenges A LOT! Whenever I follow a healthy, regimented program for an extended period of time, I Continue Reading…
Cow Day and a Big Ol’ Yummy Salad!
We had a fun time with Kev’s family last weekend. I told you guys I was going to try to eat well, but unfortunately…I did not. Dang it. I have such a hard time eating well when I’m on vacation. I’m just grateful we were only gone for two days. AND, I went right back to healthy eating when we got home. Yay. We headed out of town Friday evening. Friday also happened to be Chick Fil-A’s Cow Appreciation Day! If you follow me on Facebook, you saw that we attended Cow Appreciation Day this year! We went last year Continue Reading…
One of my All-Time Favorite Dinners!
Well I’m sorry to say I’ve had a nasty little cold the past couple of days. My sweet little 2 year old shared it with me. 😉 It’s the sore throat, achy, tired, “blah feeling” kind of cold. I’m ready for it to go away now. BUT on a brighter note, I have a wonderful recipe to share with you all today! It’s for Hawaiian Haystacks and it’s one of my favorite dinner recipes EVER! It’s a little bit of a pain to make, but it’s not hard. It involves a lot of ingredients, so I usually need to plan Continue Reading…
Easy, Yummy, Healthy, Hearty Taco Soup
I told you I was going to post the recipe for the Taco Soup we had for dinner last night. First of all, I have to say I LOVE this recipe! This is definitely one of my “go-to” meals on crazy, busy, lazy, stressed out, “you name it!” nights! When I don’t feel like cooking, but I want us to have something healthy for dinner, I make this. Love it! Here’s another reason why I love it… The ingredients!!! First of all, they are healthy. Second of all, I stock up on these and then I always have them on Continue Reading…
