A Fun Getaway and Real, Clean Food!

I went on a fun overnighter to Salt Lake City last night with some of my childhood friends and we had such a great time! We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner (yum!) and it was wonderful. A Weekend Full of Food and Fun!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. 🙂 On Friday night, Kev and I went to see the movie Ender’s Game with some friends of ours. It was very well done and I absolutely loved Harrison Ford and the kid who played Ender (Asa Butterfield.)  However, it was kind of hard to follow at times and I felt a little bit lost throughout the movie.  It was still entertaining and worth watching; I just wish I would’ve read the book first. Woo hoo, it’s Friday!! Well, I’ve been a slacker at getting my sleep this week and I’m SURE feelin’ it.  I’ve been getting 6 to 6 1/2 hours most nights and it is just not enough.  I really need 7 1/2 to 8 hours consistently or I just fall apart. Why is it so hard for me to get to bed at night???  I really like to sleep, but I guess I just need more hours in my day! Don’t we all? Captain Phillips, Cooggies and Random Tidbits

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I went to my beloved Bootcamp class tonight and it was brutal (i.e. awesome.) 😉  I got a great workout and I’m thoroughly spent. Before I left for the gym, I put some brown rice in the rice cooker on a timer.  When I got home, I took out some leftover Fall Apart Chicken from the freezer.  I heated it up, opened up a can of green beans, a bottle of pears and voila….dinner was served. I Love Discipline and Healthy Food!

I’ve been lovin’ Body for Life so far.  It’s really just a sensible, healthy diet with a little more protein kicked in.  It’s great.  It really hasn’t been too hard either (granted I’m only on day #2!)
