Yesterday morning, I enjoyed my breakfast on the deck and it was fabulous… Good oatmeal, great reading material and a tall drink of water enjoyed outside in the fresh summer air.  Doesn’t get much better than that my friends. Yum.  I also went to the gym for a bit afterward and got a killer upper body workout in.  I’ll talk a little bit more about that in a sec. Leftovers and a Run with Jim

Hey guys.  I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday! I had a really crazy week last week, so I’ve been trying to calm down and get back into my normal healthy groove.  Yay. I always love starting off my day with a yummy, healthy breakfast.  I had these yummy chocolate protein pancakes this morning… I had a bunch of them in the freezer, so I just popped these in the toaster.  Super easy and super yum.  I topped them with a light smear of natural peanut butter, strawberries and sugar-free syrup. Running and Good Food!

I went on a run this morning and it was the perfect way to start out my Friday! My 14 year old doesn’t go to school until 9:50 on Fridays, so it’s a great time for me to run.  I also like to get my workout done first thing in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays or else it just doesn’t happen. I ran 4.2 miles and the weather was just perfect.  It was about 60 degrees with a slight breeze.  Perfect. Well, so far I really like this little diet thingy I’m doing.  The food is yummy, I haven’t been too terribly hungry and I’m seein’ some results!  Wahoo. However, I am getting sick of eating the same ‘ol thing every day.  So, I’ve been changing up some of the food choices just a little bit.  I’m still keeping it within the 950 calories range though. Craziness + a New Resolve

I’ve been wanting to hop on here the past several days, but I haven’t had a chance.  We’ve been so CrAzY! But, I think “crazy” is the new “normal” now.  🙂 It’s tough to find time to do all the “mom stuff”, keep a sorta-kinda clean house, make healthy food, exercise, get adequate sleep AND blog about it all.  Man. Healthy Food and Progress!

Right now, we’re smack in the middle of my daughter’s 12 year old birthday party!  So, there are 8 cute little giggling girls running ’round the house. 😉  They’re now getting ready to watch a movie, so I thought I would hop on here and write a quick post.
