Well I’m still going strong on my #OxyChallenge and I love it! It’s really not incredibly hard, but it does take constant commitment and dedication. I’m feeling very stubborn and committed, so I KNOW I’ll make it through the entire thing. Quite frankly, I like to think of it kind of like a game….”What would happen if I actually followed this program to a T?” Hmmmm? I’m curious and excited to find out! I love health and fitness and strive to live a healthy lifestyle all the time, but sometimes I get off track, lose motivation and become a little Continue Reading…
Costco Love and Fresh Food
First things first….I want to announce the winner of the $50 Whole Foods gift card! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long! Geesh. Congratulations Kari! I just sent you an email with all the details. Please let me know if you have any questions. ***************** Well I hope you are all enjoying your Thursday. I really love Thursdays because it’s the weekend Eve. I live for the weekends! I went to Costco earlier this week and loaded up on a bunch of wonderful things! They had some great sales going on too. I always buy my Oatmeal ($7.89) at Continue Reading…
Clean Food and Three Great Combo Exercise Moves
Woo hoo, it’s Friday!! Well, I’ve been a slacker at getting my sleep this week and I’m SURE feelin’ it. I’ve been getting 6 to 6 1/2 hours most nights and it is just not enough. I really need 7 1/2 to 8 hours consistently or I just fall apart. Why is it so hard for me to get to bed at night??? I really like to sleep, but I guess I just need more hours in my day! Don’t we all? Anyway, I’m going to make it my goal next week to GET MY SLEEP! It’s amazing what it Continue Reading…
A Sensible Plan + Body For Life Treadmill Workout
I’m still lovin’ Body For Life. To me, it’s just a very practical way of living. It’s a healthy, sensible diet and a manageable exercise plan. I love it. Yes, it takes commitment and planning, but I’m a lot more successful at healthy living when I have a set purpose or “plan.” I haven’t lost any weight at all though. None. Nada. I’ve decided my body is psycho. I’ve been doing my “No Sugar Challenge” for 29 days now and I love it. I’ve been following the Body For Life exercise plan for almost two weeks and the diet plan Continue Reading…
Stickin’ to the Challenge + Healthy Snacks
I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to blog for several days; we’ve been so crazy. I officially started my “100 Days without Sugar Challenge” last Thursday (August 1st) along with many of y’all. I am so happy to have some of you guys join me in this challenge! Yay. I hope each of you who joined me are 100% committed! If you are someone who feels addicted to sugar (like me), I know it’s absolutely necessary to be strong and fully committed. I’m sorry to say that if you’re not 100% determined to succeed, you will FAIL. Sounds harsh, Continue Reading…
Craziness + a New Resolve
I’ve been wanting to hop on here the past several days, but I haven’t had a chance. We’ve been so CrAzY! But, I think “crazy” is the new “normal” now. 🙂 It’s tough to find time to do all the “mom stuff”, keep a sorta-kinda clean house, make healthy food, exercise, get adequate sleep AND blog about it all. Man. Here are some pics of some of the many CrAzY things we’ve been doing the past few days…. My daughter had dance pictures on Saturday. AND, since she’s in three different dance classes, she had to show up THREE different Continue Reading…
