I meant to post yesterday, but I was too busy partying for my birthday! I had a great day.
Sadly, I’ve been eating a whole lotta junk the past couple of days. It’s been fun, BUT my body has felt very very grody. Blah. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised though. 😉
However, I must say this little hiatus from eating well has been really good for me. My mind (and taste buds) really needed the break. It’s almost felt like a mini vacation….and now I’m ready and willing to get back to work! I’m looking forward to seriously getting back on the wagon and staying there for a while.
Anyway, in case you are interested…..here are some highlights from my birthday….
- Kev took care of all of the “kid stuff” in the morning and let me sleep in. So sweet.
- Kev actually took the whole day off work so he could hang out with ME! So so sweet.
- I went to lunch at Red Robin (my fav!) with Kev and my two littlest kiddos.
Just before we left to Red Robin…with my almost 4 year old and my sweet little puppy dog, Jimmer.
- After Red Robin, we stopped and got a few of my favorite cupcakes from the Sweet Tooth Fairy. They are seriously so good. Sadly, I was so dang full from Red Robin that I didn’t even eat mine until today (and I only ate half of it!)
The best cupcakes in the world! I got a chocolate coconut one. YU…UMM!
- After we got home, I took a nice little nap. Seriously, all I wanted for my birthday was a nap and a cleanish house.
- Kev picked up all the kids from school so I could chill. So so so sweet.
- My sister came out and she and I went to one of my favorite classes at the gym!
- Oh, I must also say that my sweet sister has a “healthy living” blog as well. Yesterday she dedicated a post to ME! She posted a couple pics from when we were little and things. Very very sweet. In case you want to take a peek, click here. Also, she wrote another post today about having a sugar hangover. I had to laugh because I feel the same way!
- Anyway, while I was at the gym, the kids and Kev decorated the house…
- My daughter (and her partners in crime) made a birthday cake for me….
- After the gym, we hung out at our house with my sister, bro-in-law and all the kids. We got pizza from Papa Johns (seriously, the best pizza ever!)
- We also enjoyed some birthday cake (although I was too stuffed from pizza and didn’t even have ANY! Lame. I did have some of the candy my sister brought over though (see the grocery bag next to me chuck full of candy???)
Well, that was my birthday in a nutshell. I had a great day! However, I really like to “milk it” on my birthday! Yesterday’s celebration included all the kids (which was nice), but tonight I’m going to go out on a date with just my sweet little husband to enjoy a “day after my birthday” celebration as well! Yay.
AND THEN……….Tomorrow I’m going to hit it hard! It is BACK ON THE WAGON for me! I’m going to do a low-carb diet for 2-3 weeks (I seriously need it as a detox!) and then I’m going to add a few healthy carbs back in for a couple weeks after that! I of course, will keep you posted!
Oh, and Kev gave me some cash for my birthday and my sis got me a gift card to one of my favorite stores (Ann Taylor!). I’m going to hang onto both of them until I reach my goal weight and then go shopping! Fun!
