Thule, the Swedish company best known for their amazing sport carriers and roof racks, also has an amazing “Active With Kids” line of products which includes bicycle carriers, multifunctional child carriers and child bike seats.
I was recently sent the Chariot CX-1, an incredible stroller/jogger/multifunctional child carrier, that I can’t wait to tell you guys about!
It comes standard with the Strolling Kit…
But you can also purchase “Conversion Kits” which allow you to bike, jog, hike or even cross country ski with it.
Yes, it’s pretty darn amazing folks. 😉
I knew I would primarily use the Chariot CX-1 as a jogging stroller, so Thule sent me the jogging kit as well.
When I first assembled the CX-1, I was immediately impressed with the quality and construction of it. It’s definitely the “Cadillac” of sport strollers. It’s very durable, well made and full of amazing features.
First off, I LOVE the “Click N’ Store” feature that allows on-board storage of all of the conversion kits.
When I attached the Jogging Kit, I was easily able to remove and store the strolling kit (the small wheels you see attached in the picture above) right on the CX-1. I can also easily switch back to the strolling kit (the wheels release with a push of a button), and the jogging kit can attach to the back of the CX-1.
Pretty dang awesome.
I also absolutely LOVE the all-weather functionality of this “stroller.” As a runner, I sometimes run in the heat, rain, wind, snow…you name it. Thule definitely had the comfort of the child in mind when they designed the CX 1. It’s prepared for any and all weather conditions.
I especially love how all the covers roll up and tuck neatly under the accessory bar. The side windows also have removable rain covers.
I also love so many of the other amazing features!
I’m in love with the storage compartment! It’s huge, yet easily folds up and out of the way.
I also love the roomy and comfortable interior!
It makes me want to climb right inside and go for a ride! My son also loves the storage compartments inside so he can stow his own water bottle and snacks.
I’m also a big fan of the harness. It’s easily adjustable and makes getting your child in and out of the CX-1 a cinch!
Because I’m 6+ months pregnant, I haven’t been running nearly as much as I usually do. However, I’ve enjoyed taking the Chariot CX-1 out on a few runs.
I also enjoyed going on a walk with all the kiddos a couple nights ago.
It was just perfect.
I can’t wait until our little baby can ride in this jogger too! It’s always hard for me to find the time and motivation to exercise when I have a small baby, but the CX-1 will be just the thing I need when trying to lose the baby weight. I’m especially grateful it will allow me to exercise with my baby.
The Thule Chariot CX-1 retails for $1,049.95, which is a pretty hefty price tag, but it’s really a great investment for an active family. Thule also offers plenty of other less expensive options as well. Check out their website to see all the amazing products they offer.
Thule provided me with the Chariot CX-1, but the text and opinions expressed are entirely my own. I only share products and companies that I truly love and will always give my honest opinion.
