Chicco, the largest baby brand in all of Europe, has produced top quality, safe baby products for over 50 years. I’ve owned several Chicco (pronounced “kee-ko”) products and have loved and been impressed with each one.
When I was expecting baby #6, I knew I wanted the safest car seat available. After doing a little research, I found the Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat and knew it was the perfect seat for us.
It’s the #1 rated car seat, the easiest car seat to install correctly and is available in a BUNCH of different styles and colors! I also read countless positive reviews about this car seat on several different websites.
Needless to say, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review not only the Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat, but the compatible Chicco Activ3 Jogging Stroller as well!
My baby is now 4 1/2 months old and I have LOVED both the car seat and the jogging stroller so much! I wish I had had them with all of my babies.
The KeyFit 30 is made for babies from 4-30 pounds. When I first put my brand new baby in the car seat to take him home from the hospital, he looked comfortable and secure…
I love the removable newborn insert, thickly cushioned seat pads, shoulder pads and 5 point harness. Everything seemed to cradle my tiny baby perfectly and I was thrilled to see that it helped to support his head as well. I also loved that I could tighten and loosen the straps of this car seat so easily and with one hand.
When we got home from the hospital, my baby had fallen asleep. I was happy to see how comfortable and peaceful he looked.
I have also loved the canopy with the foldout sunshade. When my baby was about a month old, I went over to the Elementary school to support my older kids during the school’s jog-a-thon. It was about 90 degrees out and I was so happy to have the sunshade to protect my baby…
I have also loved, loved, loved the base that comes with this car seat and how quick and easy it is to install! It feels very secure, which gives me great peace of mind.
The latches clip in so easily and the center pull adjustment strap tightens the base down securely.
I also LOVE the spring-assisted leveling foot which helps to achieve the proper seat angle. Brilliant!
The bubble indicators on both sides of the base also help to make sure the base is installed accurately.
I’ve dealt with a lot of car seats in my life and have always tried to make sure to install them correctly in my vehicles. However, when I installed THIS base/seat in my van, I felt 100% positive that it was installed correctly and that my baby was safe and secure.
The Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat is compatible with a wide array of strollers, but I’ve also loved how easily it snaps into the Chicco Activ3 Jogging Stroller!
I’m a big fan of car seat/stroller combos because it makes it so simple to transport the baby. It’s so nice to not have to wake up a sleeping baby to put them in a stroller or back into the car.
The Chicco Activ3 jogging stroller is top quality, comfortable, handles like a breeze and is loaded with features.
The canopy is already large, but if you unzip it, it extends even more! I have loved that feature so much.
When my baby was only a couple months old, I brought him to one of my kid’s soccer games. It was quite cold and windy out and I was so grateful for this stroller and the large canopy! I was able to extend the canopy over the car seat, without even unzipping it, and my baby stayed warm and safe from the elements.
I have also loved the access tray on the stroller. It’s been so nice to have a place to hold water bottles, my keys, baby toys, my cell phone and all the other random stuff I seem to carry with me.
I love the large basket underneath and love how easily the seat reclines. I can quickly recline the seat just using one hand. Every part of this stroller maneuvers and handles so smoothly.
I love the height adjustable handlebar and the hand operated brake and swivel lock controls that are located up near the handlebar. They are easy to operate and feel very secure.
The swivel lock keeps the front wheel from swiveling and keeps it stable for jogging. Since my baby is still quite small (and it’s winter!), I haven’t used this stroller for jogging yet. However, it’s so nice to have the option and I’m sure I will love it this spring.
Another feature that I love about this stroller is how compactly it folds. Jogging strollers can be big and bulky and hard to fit into a vehicle. I’ve been impressed with how easily I’ve been able to fit this stroller into the back of my van.
This video perfectly demonstrates the folding options of the Chicco Activ3 Jogging Stroller…
Love it!
The Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat and compatible Activ3 Jogging Stroller are both wonderful options for babies and parents. I’ve been so impressed with the convenience, maneuverability and safety of these products. I would highly recommend them to any parent.

I really need a jogging stroller! We have just one stroller at the moment and it is great but a jogging one would be so useful!
Melanie says
I have loved having a jogging stroller when I have a baby. It’s so tough to workout with a baby and at least with a jogger, I have options!
The Vegan 8 says
That is a really nice stroller, wow! I love ours too and it was so expensive, but we hardly ever used it!! Too bad I can’t return it now, lol. This one looks comfortable and beautiful!
Melanie says
Oh, I hate it when I buy something expensive and then don’t use it! We’ve done that a few times. I’ve been loving this stroller and car seat so much, I just wish I could have used it with more of my babies!

Looks awesome! I’m jealous to see someone with something that moves fast AND has a cup holder. 🙂
Melanie says
LOL! The cup holder is one of my favorite features!

Nice article, this is one of the travel systems we considered for our new little one. We just had our baby in January, I was wondering how this stroller has held up. Are you still using the car seat?
Melanie says
This stroller has held up so well and I’m still using the car seat! I’ve loved both of these products so much! My baby has just about outgrown the car seat, but it’s been great.

Melanie I’m having trouble finding the carrier and jogger in a “set” … Well other than the red! Was your blue a travel set or did you buy each seperate?
Melanie says
I was sent the car seat and the jogger separately. So sorry! I’m not sure if it comes as a set or not. I really love the car seat and jogger so much though!!

Thanks for the review. We have purchased the car seat and are looking for a jogger. The jogger you have reviewed is awesome but do you happen to know what other joggers the car seat is compatible with? We are looking for a little cheaper option.. Thanks!

I really loved the Chicco KeyFit 30 car seat so much!! I also enjoyed the jogger. I know that Chicco has several strollers that will work with that car seat. I don’t know the specific ones, but I imagine if you check out their website you might be able to find some that will work. I wish you all the best!

This is my first child. I just bought the Chicco Key Fit 30 car seat and stroller. I am wondering if I need to purchase the jogger? I don’t see myself jogging with the child. I do see myself walking around the neighborhood or park though about three miles a day for exercise. Do you think I would need a jogger for this or would you suggest the stroller with the car seat will be fine? Looking for any advice. Not wanting to spend that much money if I don’t think I will use it.
Melanie says
I don’t think you would need to buy the jogger if you are just planning on walking. I think the regular stroller would be just fine for that. You would only really need the jogger for running to make it a smoother and safer ride for the baby. I loved that carseat BTW. I wish you all the best with your new baby!
