We’ve had some craziness the past few days! But, I guess that’s nothing new, huh??
If you follow me on Facebook, you know where we were last night…
Yikes. The pic on the left was taken before stitches (obviously) and the one on the right was taken this afternoon.
My poor, sweet baby fell and hit his head at the library of all places! He started running (more like a trot) because he was so excited to show me a couple books, then he tripped and hit his head on a square post thing. As soon as I heard him hit I knew it wasn’t going to be good.
Thankfully, one of the workers at the library quickly got me a big bandage to put on his head. I immediately scooped him up and ran him to the Urgent Care center near our house.
We ended up taking him to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City so a plastic surgeon could sew him up. They were also able to put him to sleep while they stitched him, which helped a lot.
He ended up getting 3-4 stitches underneath and it looks to be about 11 stitches on top.
Ya, it wasn’t pretty.
Here are a few pics from our crazy night. Sorry, I know it may be gross….but that’s the life of a mother!
We see it all…the good, the bad, the ugly and the grody!!
Here we are in the waiting room at Primary Children’s. We had to wait about 45 minutes and he started to look like a war victim….
My oldest son was with us at the library when the accident happened, so he wanted to stay with us the whole night. He actually ended up being a wonderful entertainer, which was nice because we were at the hospital FOREVER!
Here’s one of me with my baby. Ya, I still had my “running hairdo” and looked super cute!
Oh, they also had to put an IV in his tiny little hand, which just about broke my heart.
Yes, I’m a wuss…I know.
Kev snapped this picture of me giving him a kiss just before the docs sewed him up. I was a little nervous about them putting him to sleep, but knew he was in good hands.
Here he is right after they sewed him up. He was still a little loopy from the drugs they gave him, but he was very happy to have a slushy drink.
Well that just about sums up the drama from the evening.
We ended up getting home just before 1:00 AM last night! Needless to say, I’ve been seriously draggin’ today. I’m so glad he’s okay though and that it’s all over with. Man.

On Monday night I went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes with my mom, dad, sister and niece.
Sweet Tomatoes is SO YUMMY! I made myself a big ol’ awesome salad…
I also had two pieces of the BEST sourdough bread on the planet! It’s so dang good! This picture does not do it justice, but it’s the only one I took…
Afterward, we went shopping to help my mom pick out clothes for all the grandkids for Christmas!
Ya, my mom’s amazing and always has all of her Christmas shopping done by November. Awesome.
We had a fun night.

Well, on Tuesday I went to the same crazy class at the gym that I went to last Wednesday. This time I dropped my son off at school a little bit early so I wouldn’t be late. It worked out great. I was able to get there about 10 minutes early, but was shocked to see the class almost full when I got there. I had to grab a spot right up front.
I, of course, took a couple pictures to share with you guys so you could see how crazy it was!
Ya, and these pics were taken 10 minutes before class even started! By the time it started, every last speck of floor was taken. IN-SANE!
I loved the class though and it was worth the craziness.
Afterward, I ran to Costco for a bit. I decided to load up on veggies and salad stuff because I’ve been slackin’ a bit in the produce department of my diet.
I got a whole bunch of yummy salad fixin’s and I’ve been loving them!
I got some bananas (not for salad, of course!), sliced almonds, Feta cheese, bell peppers, baby cucumbers (so cute AND yummy!), Butter lettuce, avocados, grape tomatoes, spinach, bacon bits (I figured it would help me WANT to eat salad more often!) and some Sweet Mesquite Seasoning to sprinkle on things.
Super yum!
Look how beautiful the butter lettuce is!! Gorgeous and tasty!
I also grabbed some Sweet Potatoes and frozen broccoli too…
I’ve really been trying to load up on my veggies. I love it!
I made nachos for dinner the other night and everyone loved them. I just cut up a bunch of toppings and let everyone make their own…
I also made some turkey taco meat too…
The kids weren’t huge fans of all the veggies, but I loaded up and it was so good!
Oh, and BTW those Wild Riceworks chips are so freaking awesome! I love them so much….a little too much! They’re on sale at Costco right now too!
I’ve also been making big ol’ mega salads for lunch too. It’s been awesome.
I topped this one with some natural Deli Turkey, Mesquite Seasoning and a little Balsamic Vinegar. I loved it!

Just one more fun thing…Right now, I am the #1 Health and Fitness Blog at Top Mommy Blogs! Yay!
If you visit Top Mommy Blogs and click on the Health and Fitness category in the right sidebar, you’ll see me there. So fun.
I also want to say THANK YOU to all of you who click on the banner at the bottom of my posts and VOTE for me. Yes, it’s probably a pain and a tad bit annoying, but just know there is a lil ol’ blogger who is very grateful. 😉
Well, it’s getting late and I’m so flippin’ tired from staying up so late last night so I’m going to hit the hay.
I hope you all have a wonderful night! Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

How scary with your little one!! Head injuries are always so scary because of possible scarring and damage. I am glad to hear he is doing better now!!

Thanks so much! Yes, it was SO freaky, but I’m glad we were able to have a plastic surgeon do it so hopefully the scarring will be minimal. Fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear about your baby. That’s scary, and to think he wasn’t even on the playground. Sending him well wishes and glad to read he’s doing better.

Thank you so much!! Yes, it scares me how easily they can get hurt just doing the day-to-day things.
