I hope you are all enjoying a peaceful Sunday evening. I made a yummy little concoction tonight I want to share!
YUM! A friend of mine once told me she liked to mix protein powder into her hot chocolate. I’ve been thinking about it ever since and knew I had to experiment with it!
Soooo, I came up with this yummy recipe tonight and man is it good! It’s especially awesome because not only is it yummy…..it’s filling too! How cool is that? It’s also so rich and creamy! I loved it. Next time, I may even add a little bit of peppermint.
So, here’s the recipe,
Triple Chocolate Protein Hot Chocolate (I love that chocolate is in the title twice!)
- 1 1/4 C. (10 oz.) Unsweetened Almond milk, water or liquid of your choice
- 1 packet Lite Hot Cocoa Mix (I used Swiss Miss Diet)
- 1/2 scoop (2-3 Tablespoons) Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 T. Cocoa
- Put hot chocolate mix, protein powder and cocoa in a big mug. Pour a little bit of the liquid (a few tablespoons) into the mug and mix until contents are thoroughly combined and all clumps are dissolved.
- Pour the rest of the liquid into the mug.
- Heat in microwave for 90 seconds.
- Stir everything again and enjoy! (it helps to use a wire whisk.)
I especially loved drinking this tonight while sitting by the Christmas tree in my cozy, stretchy clothes with my sweet little puppy dog!
I know I will be enjoying this Protein Hot Chocolate often this Christmas season! I <3 Christmas!
