First off, I’m happy to say that Kev and I got an early morning workout in this morning! Gasp! I know it’s hard to believe….I woke up wicked early and I did it by CHOICE!
Some people from our church recently organized a Monday-Friday 5:45 AM “Insanity” workout class. I was stoked when I first heard about it, but we hadn’t been able to go yet.
Click here to go to their site. Love it!
Soooooo, we finally did it today and I gotta say it kicked my can! It was a great workout and I was absolutely dead afterward.
I would highly recommend “Insanity” to anyone out there who wants to get a great workout at home! It was killer. The time also seemed to fly by for me. I didn’t feel like I was counting down the minutes until it ended. Yay. It was a 45 minute class and then we did a 15 minute “Insanity” Abs workout afterward. It was “insane” (ha, ha) to say the least.
For now, Kev and I plan to go about twice a week. It will be fun and hopefully turn me into more of a morning person!
Here we are post workout this morning. Scary.
When I see this picture, I’m reminded of a funny quote I read somewhere.
“Exercise: If you look cute afterward, you didn’t do it right!”
I think we definitely did it right, lol!

This weekend was great. I was able to go on a run on Saturday. I hadn’t been on a run for about 3 weeks! Holy COW! It felt really good to get out there and the weather was perfect.
Before I left, I didn’t feel like running AT ALL! I really had to drag myself out there. BUT, after I ran for about a quarter mile or so, I felt so good. I was so happy to be running!
I’ve learned the hardest part about running or exercising in general is just getting out the door! Once I’m at the gym or out on a run, I love it.
I have NEVER regretted exercising.

Yesterday we went up to my parent’s house to watch the Super Bowl. It’s really funny because the only people who really care about the game is one of my brothers and my husband! They love football, the rest of us love the food and good company! Oh, and I enjoy the commercials and half-time show too. 😉 Sadly, I wanted the Pats to win though. We lived in New England for 6+ years and they were “our team.” Dang it, but it was a good game.
We did enjoy lots of yummy food. I brought a big ‘ol bowl of fruit! Yum!
Well that was my weekend in a nutshell.
***Before I end, I have to make a little confession. I’ve still been eating well as a whole, but I’ve been snitchin’ a lot of treats lately. Dang.
I do have a (very lame) excuse though……I’ve been wanting to start a new healthy eating challenge of some sort. I always have to have some “goal” or “challenge” or else I start to get lax. ANYWAY, I haven’t wanted to start anything new because my birthday is on Thursday! Yay! I of course, want to have a few treats and go out to eat and live it up a little. So, I’ve been putting off my little goals until after my birthday!! Lame, I know.
But, I’m going to hit it HARD starting on Saturday! I’ll let you know my official “plan” when I get it worked up. I’m excited.
Well, ’til next time!!! xoxo

I went to Costco today.. and bought some of the Sabra Tuscan Herb Hummas that you buy. LOVE IT! It tastes a lot like a chip dip with all the herbs. What a great healthy snack. Thank you.

Yay Jeanne, I’m so glad you love it! I love it so much! I’m still lookin’ for your VitaTop things. I’m gonna check a couple more stores around here. We do have a Whole Foods, but it’s about 20 minutes away. I will go there if I need to though! I will find these! Lol!

Insanity is crazy but love it too! I would joke about how Insanity makes you crazy at the end and you’re no longer normal. But then my family and friends would never understand what I’m laughing about and they call me crazy regardless. Haha. But glad to see you’re back out running. And it’s ok, it’s your birthday delight in it 😉

Lol! Love your thoughts about Insanity! I know, a lot of my friends think I’m crazy with all my exercise/healthy eating too, but I LOVE it!
