I hope this post gets out to all of you email subscribers out there. It looks like all the email addresses finally transferred over. Phew. 😉
Happy Friday to you all! I seriously love Fridays SO MUCH! Kev and I usually go out on a much needed date and I look forward to it all week. I’m so happy we have built-in babysitters at home now. The older kids are always looking for ways to earn money and it’s definitely money well spent for us. Win, win.
I’m thinkin’ dinner and a movie sounds really nice tonight. I hope y’all have fun plans for the weekend too!

Well, in my efforts to get back to “normal”, I’ve been trying to do some workouts from home. It definitely saves time and I also like that I can stay home with my cute kiddos.
There is one drawback, however…
I’m not nearly as disciplined with my at-home workouts! I usually procrastinate and put it off all day. There are just too many distractions lurking around. Sometimes the workout doesn’t end up happening too. SO, I’m going to strive to do my at-home workouts earlier in the day…..before the day gets away from me!
Most of the workouts from Jamie Eason’s 12 week trainer need to be done in the gym. A lot of them use specialized equipment and things that are hard to replicate at home (unless you have a killer set-up at home!)
BUT, there are a few workouts that can be done at home pretty easily. These workouts use things like dumbbells and stability balls or they incorporate exercises such as pushups, crunches, jump roping, etc. that can be done anywhere.
I did workout #60 at home the other day. I did have to adjust some of the exercises a bit so I could do them at home. Here are a couple of the exercises I did…
Walking Barbel Lunges (I subbed dumbbells for the barbel)
I did 3 sets of 20 (on each leg) and I made sure to touch my knee to the ground every time. These are awesome and really got my heart pumpin’. They are much harder than they look too.
I was supposed to do Standing Leg Curls on a machine, but since I didn’t have a machine…I improvised!
I just tucked a dumbbell behind my knee and then raised my leg up (hip extensions.) I realized afterward that the Standing Leg Curls work the hamstrings and this move worked the glutes, dang it. But, it was still a great exercise!
I was able to do the rest of the workout pretty easily at home, except for the seated leg curls, but I made sure I did those the next day at the gym.
Yes, I don’t think I get quite as good of a workout at home, but I LOVE the flexibility!

I received a fun package in the mail from Bodybuilding.com the other day.
They sent it as a “thank you” and “congratulations” for doing the Jamie Eason 12 week trainer!
I thought that was so NICE! 😉
Here’s what was inside…
Some Protogen Cookies and Cream protein powder, a WAY cute Bodybuilding.com hoodie and a few fun samples.
I didn’t even know Bodybuilding.com sold clothing! I perused their site and found a bunch of dang cute things! Here are a few things I loved…
Love this basic tank! It looks like the perfect fit….fitted without being too tight!
I thought these capris were wicked cute too!
Love this hoodie so much! So so cute! That’s Jamie Eason modeling it btw. Love her!
Anyway, I loved a ton of their things. So fun!
AND, here’s a pic of me in the cute hoodie they sent me….
I love it! It’s also a perfect fit…fitted without being too tight. Love it.
I also had a lot of fun with the protein powder too.
I LOVED it as a protein shake…
I mixed 1 C. unsweetened almond milk with 1 scoop Protogen Cookies and Cream protein powder, 1 T. cocoa, 1 T. ground flaxseed, 2 handfuls of baby spinach and ice.
It was so tasty and seriously tasted just like a cookies and cream shake! Okay, maybe not quite as good, but I WAS impressed! I loved it!
I also made some protein pudding with it….
I mixed 1 small vanilla Chobani yogurt thingy with 1 scoop Protogen Cookies and Cream protein powder and it was so yummy! I still love my chocolate protein pudding the best, but this was nice for a change.
Well, that’s all I have to say for now. I hope y’all have a fabulous weekend!
Did I tell ya how much I LOVE Fridays??? xoxo
Bodybuilding.com sent me the items mentioned in this post free of charge, but the opinions expressed are entirely my own (as always!)

I have the same problem procrastinating on my at-home workouts. In-fact I’m procrastinating right now!
Love the grey hoodie! And I really need to remember to try to make some protein powder pudding. That’s a double punch of protein since yogurt already has so much!
Great post, thanks!

I’m glad to know I’m not alone in my procrastinating, lol! I really love protein pudding too. It’s a nice change from protein shakes. 😉

I’m the same way when it comes to working out at home. In fact, I told myself today I was going to do Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones when I got home. Didn’t happen! 🙁 I’m waking up early tomorrow and hitting the gym!
Cookies and cream protein shake sounds yummy!!!

I hear ya! I was just telling my husband that I need to sit down and schedule out my workouts for this next week so that I won’t procrastinate! It’s tough.

It’s so hard to workout from home!

Well, I have a few adjustable dumbbells at home and it is enough to get in shape. There are hundreds of exercises with dumbbells for each and every muscle group.
