Fun Stuff + Finally Seeing Some Results

March 25, 20174 Comments

Happy Saturday everyone! We’ve had some fun things going on this week.  First off, these two cute kiddos of mine went to Prom last night…. I cannot believe how quickly they are growing up!!!  It is absolutely mind boggling to me.  It hurts my heart. 🙁 This was my daughter’s first formal high school dance and it will be my son’s last.  My son’s darling friend asked my daughter to the dance, so they all went in the same group together.  I was so happy about that! Oh, and my kids thought those pictures were awkward because they were color Continue Reading…

Crazy Life + Staying the Course

March 18, 20176 Comments

Well this is going to be a random post because I have a lot of random things to share! First off, I am tired.  Geesh.  These last few weeks have been busy, busy, busy!  I mean, we’re always busy (aren’t we all??), but it’s been insane lately. Daylight Savings has not helped me either.  Aaaand for some reason my baby (yes, he’s 2 1/2, but I will probably call him “baby” until he’s 89 or so) has been waking up in the night a TON this week.  I think Daylight Savings is messin’ him up too. Soooo, I’ve essentially turned Continue Reading…

I Love My Dad + A Healthier Muddy Buddy Recipe

March 11, 20176 Comments

This week has been such a long, busy, challenging, interesting week for me.  I’ve told you guys before that my darling dad has Alzheimer’s, right?  Well on Monday we moved him into a rest home. I can’t tell you guys how many different emotions and feelings I’ve felt this week. I’ve definitely felt relief for my saintlike mother.  She has taken such good care of my dad for years.  In fact, I’ve actually been encouraging my mother to put my dad in a rest home for about a year now because I’ve been so concerned for her health and well-being. Continue Reading…

Healthy Meal Ideas + Fun, Crazy Life

Man, we’ve had a busy week!!  I’m actually glad it’s coming to an end. 🙂 One fun thing we’ve been doing is painting our upstairs.  It has been loooooong overdue!!  We’ve lived in our house about 9 years now, but we’ve done very little updating or legit decorating.  When we first moved in, I was 9 months pregnant and had a baby two weeks later. Aaaaaand we’ve been crazy ever since.  We’ve seriously just been in survival mode. So, I’ve decided it is TIME to dejunk the entire house, clean everything, paint everything, new carpet everything and make things “cute.” Continue Reading…

Making This Plan a Lifestyle + Learning to Be Patient

February 26, 20176 Comments

Well folks, I’m still going strong with my “Extreme Transformation” diet/challenge and I’m loving it.  I’m two weeks in and quite frankly, I can see myself sticking with it (more or less) for a very long time. I will say that the first week, I followed it to a T.  I made a lot of the recipes in the book, ate 5 small meals a day, tracked everything in My Fitness Pal and stuck to my guns. However, this second week I’ve chilled out a bit.  It’s been great though because I’m still stickin’ to my guns and working hard….BUT I’m slowly making Continue Reading…

One Week Down + I’m Loving My Healthy Meals

February 18, 2017Leave a Comment

Well guys, I’ve been doing the Extreme Transformation program for a week now and I love it!  It definitely takes some effort and planning, but it really hasn’t been too hard. It’s really just a simple, straight-forward, practical way to eat well.  I love it.  I’ve been counting macros on and off for a long time now, so that’s nothing new, but I’ve been loving the high and low carb days.  I love the science behind it (in a nutshell, the high carb days rev the metabolism and the low carb days burn fat) and I love changing it up. Continue Reading…
