A Fun Birthday + Day #1 of the Extreme Transformation Diet

February 11, 201710 Comments

Well I had a birthday a couple of days ago.  Woot! I had a very nice day and I really love birthdays, but this whole “getting older” thing really blows my mind!  I am now firmly “in my 40’s” and it’s seriously tripping me out. Ya know, last year it felt so weird to turn 40!  Seriously, I could hardly say my age out loud without flinching.  Ha ha.  However, I finally got used to being 40 and actually started to like it!  Forty is a nice round number and a good solid age….not too young/not too old.  Forty-one feels Continue Reading…

My New Challenge + a Yummy Guacamole Recipe

February 4, 201711 Comments

Hey, hey, hey!  I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday. 🙂 Can I just tell you guys how much I looooove the weekend!!??  I’m so grateful it comes every week.  Last night Kev and I went to see the movie, Split with some friends of ours… I was actually totally freaked out about seeing this show…like legit scared.  I enjoy a good thriller, but I hate horror or really dark movies.  I was hoping this movie would be more “thriller-y” and less “horror-y” and it was.  I actually really liked it! My sister had just told me last week, Continue Reading…

My Wacky Body and a Very Simple Dinner

January 28, 20172 Comments

Soooo, last night I had a dream that I was at a bakery eating the most delicious pastries and donuts ever.  Ha ha! I actually woke up feeling very satisfied.  However, I’m wondering if fate is trying to tell me I need more donuts in my life. 😉  I think I should take heed. In my last post I told you guys that I was going to cut out all the crap from my diet until my birthday (February 9th.)  Well…since then I haven’t stayed away from ALL of the crap, but my motivation has returned and I’m right back to a good Continue Reading…

Why I Don’t Love Whole 30 + My New Healthy Goals

January 19, 201716 Comments

Hey, hey, hey!  Tomorrow is the weekend.  Woot! I hope each and every one of you are doing well.  I actually have a little bit of venting I need to do today. 😉 A couple of years ago I did the Whole 30.  I loved it.  I learned a lot.  It was actually quite eye opening to me.  I would recommend it to anyone. Ever since the New Year, I’ve had A LOT of hits on my blog for my posts about The Whole 30.  You can read about some of those posts here, here, here, here, here and here if you want to. Trying to Balance the Macros + Some Yummy Food Concoctions

January 12, 20173 Comments

Hello!  Well I gotta say that my healthy eating, exercising and New Year’s Resolutions have been “interesting!”  Ha ha. First off, I’ve been killin’ it with my workouts.  Wahoo!  I haven’t missed a single day, except for Sunday (I always take Sunday off.)  I’ve been loving my workouts and actually look forward to them every time! My gym shared a really cool video on their Facebook page the other day that I want to share.  I think they filmed it last Saturday.  I’m in the background of the video quite a bit (I’m the lady in the pink tank, ha Continue Reading…

Pluggin’ Along with my Goals + an Easy Baked Chicken Recipe

January 5, 201711 Comments

Well the New Year is in full swing and I’m so happy to be “back on the wagon!”  Ya know, eating whatever the heck ya want is quite fun for a while, but working hard, eating right and taking care of my body is soooooo much more rewarding and fulfilling! I didn’t officially start my healthy goals and New Year’s resolutions until yesterday.  Kev and the kids were home from work/school until then and I knew I’d have a lot more success if I waited until everyone was back on schedule and out of “holiday mode.” I’ve actually been enjoying counting macros Continue Reading…
