K, although I had a few issues in the “food department” this week, I did well in the “exercise department!” Woo hoo. I’m very happy about that. Here’s the 411. Monday: I decided to switch my beloved Boot Camp class for a different class. It was a tough decision but I realized it had become mainly a cardio class. I get enough cardio from my running, so I want my classes to be mainly “weights” based. I also realized that my FAVORITE Saturday morning weights class was offered at 9:00 AM on Mondays at a Gold’s Gym a little further Continue Reading…
+Salt = Big Time Poof
I’m feelin’ very poofy lately. Blah. I think I know why though…. First off, It’s been almost 2 weeks since I started my little healthy challenge and I still haven’t had any treats! Wahoo! I’m very happy about that. If any of you know me personally, you know that is nothing short of miraculous! HOWEVER, although I’ve been abstaining from treats, we’ve been eating out a TON this week! We usually go out to eat about once a week AND I usually try to choose healthy items when we do. Sadly, we’ve gone out to eat about 4-5 times this Continue Reading…
If You Think You Don’t Have Time to Exercise….You’re RIGHT!
Exercise….. relieves stress improves mood and lifts depression! helps with weight loss (obviously) increases confidence and self esteem increases lifespan decreases risk of many diseases strengthens your heart! makes you cuter! 😉 SO WHY NOT MAKE IT A PRIORITY!? The #1 reason people DON’T exercise is because they don’t have the time! We are all so BUSY! The world we live in is so fast paced and constantly pulling us in a million different directions. We are NEVER going to find ourselves with a big chunk of time and think, “Hmmmmm, I have all this time and nothing to do….I Continue Reading…
Hunger Games + Exercise + Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake!
Well so far, it’s been a nice, relaxing weekend. It’s been way better than last weekend (when I was SO sick!) Blah. Last night Kev and I went on a much needed date. We went to see the Hunger Games. Holy cow, what a thought provoking movie! I’ve never read the book. I really wanted to read it, but never made the time. So, I really didn’t know what to expect from the movie. First off, it was full of amazing actors! Amazing! Jennifer Lawrence was perfect as Katniss! I really loved her. I thought the whole premise of Continue Reading…
Lunch with Friends at The Dodo!
On Monday I went out to lunch at the Dodo Restaurant (in Sugarhouse) with some of my very dear friends! My cute friend Ali was visiting from California, so we decided to get together. You know you have good friends when even though you haven’t seen each other for a long time….you just pick right up where you left off! Love it! I’ve known Melodi (brown hair) since we were in diapers, Ali (blonde hair) since 7th grade and we all became friends with Chad (the guy, lol.) in college. We did everything together and made a lot of awesome Continue Reading…
I’m Hungry Today!
Well today’s been a great day, but I have been so hungry ALL DAY LONG! In fact, I woke up starving. Augghh. Not good. I think I’m hormonal or something. Joy. I’ve still been eating well, but I’ve been snackin’ a ton! 🙂 I was craving cereal for breakfast, so this is what I came up with… I usually just eat Kashi Go Lean (not Crunch) because the Crunch kind has a lot more sugar (12 grams!), but it tasted so good today. It’s still a lot healthier than most cereals because it’s high in protein and fiber and full Continue Reading…
