I’m so excited to EAT FRUIT today! Wahoo! I’ve been on a “healthy cleanse” diet the past couple of weeks and today we get to add in fruit. I’m so happy about it. 🙂 I’m sorry to say the first fruit I ate was half of an overripe banana. Ewww. I ate my typical (weird healthy cleanse) breakfast this morning; eggs + chicken and guac. Protein Balls Never Tasted So Good!
First off, I have to post a very cute picture… These two little cuties have been in their Halloween costumes for 3 days straight! The first thing my 2 year old says in the morning is, “I wanna be HULK!,” and my 4 year old thinks he really IS Captain America. It’s adorable and I just want to eat them both up all day long. A Fun Race + Healthy Food!
I had the funkiest breakfast EVER this morning… Two hard boiled eggs (mostly just the whites), chicken and cocoa roast almonds! Ya. Weird. I went to the gym this morning and wanted to grab something quick I could eat in the car. Soooo, I came up with this! It was actually pretty good! A Fun, Busy Weekend!
Well, we’ve had a crazy past few days!! On Thursday we took the kids down to St. George, Utah (about 300 miles south of Salt Lake City) for a fun little family trip! The main reason we went down there was for the St. George Marathon, which Kev was supposed to run with his brother. Unfortunately, he’s been suffering from multiple running injuries (IT Band AND Achilles….yikes!), so he wasn’t able to run. Poor guy. Chocolate Protein Pancakes
K, these pancakes are the bomb! I love them so much. I’ve been having them for breakfast 4-5 days a week for the past month. I’m not sick of them yet and I don’t think I’ll ever be! There are a million Protein Pancake recipes out there. I’ve tried several and loved them all. Soooo, several months ago I decided to look for a Chocolate Protein Pancake recipe. Happy New Year!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year’s holiday! We celebrated the New Year up at my parent’s house. They’ve had a New Year’s Eve party at their house every year for as long as I can remember! A bunch of my aunts, uncles and cousins come out and we all talk, laugh and eat food! It’s always a lot of fun. It’s so funny though because the party usually ends around 10:00 or 10:30 because everyone wants to go home early and avoid a lot of the traffic.
