Well hey guys! I’m just gonna say that Summer + Blogging does not mix well for me! Man. It’s just about impossible for me to find two quiet seconds to sit down and type these days. We have had a great, but very, very busy summer! I’ve been absolutely loving summer, but I’m starting to feel ever so ready for school to start. It’s interesting how the kids start complaining and fighting a bit more the last few weeks of summer. They also seem to be “bored” more often. I’ve been telling them that those are all telltale signs that they Continue Reading…
A Family Reunion, Still Going Strong + Some Progress Pictures!
Well, life is ever so slowly starting to calm down just a bit. Hallelujah! We’ve had a fun summer, but man, this past month has been busy! Last weekend, we went up to Oregon for a family reunion with Kev’s family. We had a lot of fun and it was so nice to see everyone. There were about 65 people there, so we spent the days hanging out at a nearby farm. The kids absolutely loved it! They had fun riding on the farm trains, playing on the swings, bounce house, slip and slide and just running around everywhere. There Continue Reading…
Living Up Summer + Loving My Oxygen Challenge!
Hey, hey, hey! Well we’ve been busy livin’ up summer! Ya know, I really didn’t love summer last year. I’m not exactly sure why. I just remember feeling like we were living in constant chaos and being frustrated that I couldn’t get anything done. I also had a very busy almost two year old that made it very hard for me to be productive! So far, this year I’m LOVING summer! I think a lot of it has to do with my mindset. I’ve been trying to just let things go a bit, relax and just enjoy the summertime with Continue Reading…
Fun Stuff + Finally Seeing Some Results
Happy Saturday everyone! We’ve had some fun things going on this week. First off, these two cute kiddos of mine went to Prom last night…. I cannot believe how quickly they are growing up!!! It is absolutely mind boggling to me. It hurts my heart. 🙁 This was my daughter’s first formal high school dance and it will be my son’s last. My son’s darling friend asked my daughter to the dance, so they all went in the same group together. I was so happy about that! Oh, and my kids thought those pictures were awkward because they were color Continue Reading…
Making This Plan a Lifestyle + Learning to Be Patient
Well folks, I’m still going strong with my “Extreme Transformation” diet/challenge and I’m loving it. I’m two weeks in and quite frankly, I can see myself sticking with it (more or less) for a very long time. I will say that the first week, I followed it to a T. I made a lot of the recipes in the book, ate 5 small meals a day, tracked everything in My Fitness Pal and stuck to my guns. However, this second week I’ve chilled out a bit. It’s been great though because I’m still stickin’ to my guns and working hard….BUT I’m slowly making Continue Reading…
My Wacky Body and a Very Simple Dinner
Soooo, last night I had a dream that I was at a bakery eating the most delicious pastries and donuts ever. Ha ha! I actually woke up feeling very satisfied. However, I’m wondering if fate is trying to tell me I need more donuts in my life. 😉 I think I should take heed. In my last post I told you guys that I was going to cut out all the crap from my diet until my birthday (February 9th.) Well…since then I haven’t stayed away from ALL of the crap, but my motivation has returned and I’m right back to a good Continue Reading…
